For males, it usually takes about 12 to 14 hours after surgery, to be completely up and walking. For females, you may notice weakness for 3 days after surgery (but they will show gradual progress in activeness day by day).
What you can do is shut them in a small room. If they seem to have no appetite, you can offer broth from boiled chicken (to keep them hydrated) within the next 24 hours. After this time period, they should be eating at least a little bit. You can get them wet food or boiled chicken meat, anything that encourages their appetite :) hope this helped, good luck to you!
