Where can i buy dog houses?
 

Hi everyone! i'm looking for dog houses for small to medium sized dogs.. my darlings need cosy places to snuggle up in.. i haven't been able to find any at all. at the moment i've improvised and made dog houses out of big cages. i leave the doors open, the whole top and sides are covered with a tarp, and the inside holds the dog bed, blanket and toys. my dogs love their little caves but i want to get them proper ones.

i've seen some around, at some pet supplies retailer but i can't recall which shop. however these are invariably made of plastic. i doubt your dogs would be comfortable in these but you can check them out. i've seen it some time ago at pet wonderland and a few other outlets but can't recall the names.

wow.. 3000 bucks is wayyyyyyy over my budget.. i was thinking more like 300{shy}. but thanks for the suggestion! those air-conditioned houses are awesome. would be great if i could afford those luxuries for my fuzzies {grin}

please dont buy normal dog house. The dog wont staying inside. Because inside too hot. Try get a bed.

my dogs already have beds. they like little covered places to hide in, hence the improvised dog houses that i referred to at the beginning of this thread. my neighbor made a dog house for his pooch and its awesome! sanded wood, spacious, with an adorable roof and his dog sleeps in there all the time. like the sort of doghouse you always see on tv, but never available for sale here in malaysia.

most pet shops have it..

as far as i know
i know the curve - pet safari has it
just beside the small fur animals ....

i think there is where they keep all the fish ponds..... there

or the dog section

but i dont think it is cheap..

you can try other pet shop - they have it :)

but further add on to dog is my buddy - do dogs really want to go into the dog house? mostly dont hahaa..
because
i have friends who has the dog house
end up the dogs - sleeping right in the middle of the hot sun from 10am to afternoon.... {oh}

Actually my intention is not to put the dog houses in my garden under the hot sun. I want to put them on my covered car porch and patio area. The problem with these areas now is that although they provide shade and shelter from the sun and rain, they don't protect my dogs from wind which we have a lot of during this rainy reason. My boys get damp and cold and they huddle in the crappy houses i made. These houses are effective but honestly they are downright ugly! The tarp that covers them is bright blue and orange! Yikes!

you will be surprise some dogs love the rain or getting wet
so do observe their behavior {wink}

I wish my dogs liked getting wet. It would make bath time a lot easier. Unfortunately they hate moisture so much that they won't even walk into the garden if the grass is wet. If i throw a toy and it lands on wet grass i will have to fetch it myself. I don't mind though, at least i get more exercise!

Perhaps your dogs see it that way dog is my buddy. My dogs love their current improv houses and snuggle in them whenever there is rain, wind and thunder. They also like to stay in there to enjoy their chew toys and rawhide bones undisturbed. They like having their own space and i want that space to be as good as possible. Its their comfort zone.

Some cat bed Australia are really comfortable for dogs too. Really a good way to care for their back.
