Tadi tokey dari Vitacat ader dtg pejabat MARA. dier ader la promo skali makanan kucin jenama Vitacat tu. then shimi tnya la dia, apesal dtg promo kt pjabat MARA. Upenye2nyer dier tu penyewa kat Kompleks Industri MARA bertempat di Mergong, Alor Setar. So ader chance la nk dpt murah.

tp sebelum tu nk tnya la pendapat forumer2 sumer kalo2 produk ni bagus. kalo bgus leh la beli ngan harga murah..

Ada dengar la jenama ni sebulan lepas.. katanya derang ada lah first local catfood manufacturer kat Malaysia.. cuba gak nengok website dia.. tp time tu tak leh bukak..

Td bru tnya kepada pengilang;

Harga utk 500g = rm5.00 (kalo tesco, giant = rm5.50)
Kalo pukal ader less lg.

Kalo market di Kl baru msuk giant, tesco, carrefour.

produk2 dier pun ader mcm powder, shampoo n vitamins.

Insyaallah dijamin halal.

500g utk percubaan dorg. dorg xbrani jual byk2 lg. msih dlm percubaan. nnti kalo mrket dah ok dorg ckp nk kuar 1.5kg. Packaging utk 500g pun menarik.

Nampak tak elok utk kucing. First listed ingredient is grains dan bukan daging(cat is ultimate carnivore dan badan nya tak boleh proses grains/carbohydrates dengan baik, akan menimbulkan masalah kesihatan utk kucing, dan juga batu karang). Second listed ingredients is not fish but fish meal (tak bagus juga).

Sorry, Shimi, this food is definitely not good for the cats and is not even good value for money. Even Blackwood which is premium kibbles boleh dapat less than RM10 per kilo kalau ramai-ramai berkongsi beli breeder pack ... and the ingredients is so much healthier and causes so much less health problems for the cats.

Kadang-kadang kita kejar harga murah so much that we forget that the cheaper lower quality food will cause much health problems and we end up with bigger vet bills as well as sufferings for our cayangs.

Many of the cheaper pet food is basically pure grounded grains/carbohydrates (grains are cheap food compared with good meat sourced protein) flavored with cheap strong smelling fish flavorings which the cats find irresistable and are forced to eat up but are very, very bad for their health and make them succumb to a lot of illnesses later on, especially when they are older.

Good cat food is always expensive because good meat-based protein is costly, especially chicken, and the only way to cut cost is to buy good quality cat food in large quantity offered in the largest breeder pack.

i' also heard bout this product. quite nice for our industry. that is the first "bumiputera" cat food product that certified. It seem thier must making much more R&D. but for the first, that gonna be nice kick-start for our local industry.. I'm also proud to heard that product is Halal althought that food is not for human, but it is nice to heard. can get around penang?

Yana..it is not becoz of Bumiputra ke hapa ker.. It's about what they put inside the ingredients.. memanglah nak support industry local tapi we should remember that the ingredients will be inside our furbabies stomach.. Nway, I tengok ingredients in teh first place..lebih kurang Friekies, Whiskas and sewaktu dengannya ja..

betul tu kasih,akak sokong.not to say we are not supporting bumiputra business whatsoever. I do not want to spend uneccesarry $$ to pay the vet when I can actually avoid it by giving my anak bulus good quality food {good}{good}

Aaahhhh, you guys most welkam .... we need to make good educated choices for our irreplaceable cayangs (thank God for internet and the free availability of good information sources for us to make better informed decisions in our lives) ... saya nyaris tak masuk thread nie, you know, dah berapa kali saya ignore sebab saya ingat, "Alaaa, amenda nie ... one of those numerous capalang "I don't really know what is contained in it and all marketing hype after the $$ in my poket" cat food kat kedai runcit that is bad for our kitties ..." hahahhahaaaa!

Bila nak belanja aku makan, ahhh??? {shy} Jangan belanja Vitacat kibbles, ahhh ... takot batu karang dan kencing manis (too much carbohydrate content) .... {grin}

Nurkasih, how is your roda impian TNR turning? I think your huge consideration is cost ... pergi lah tarik tinga orang SPCA tu? I am sure they do have some subsidi program to offer ... Nurkasih put in the titik peluh and they put in some $$ ... donation kan berlambak .... simpan wat haper .... {happy}
