Hi all~ before this, im here to ask here n there on how to transport my luvlay pet to Sabah..thanks to several comments & nasihat..sampai jgk kucingku..hihi{happy}{happy}{happy}{happy}

only nak update je lah several things .. sbb sy berlari kesane kemari jgklah.. n nervous betol bile tba2 my pet stranded at the KLIA ..{scared}.. which spptutnye naik flight with my sister..oh well..

so here goes (this is for a person who actually already in sabah n ur pet is still in peninsula)

1.basic: complete vaksin,microchip

2. tak pyh pegi sabah's gov vet...now all application are online n all services/enquiries will have to deal with jabatan pertanian sabah..(bggunan WISMA PERTANIAN yg besar atas bukit dekat2 queen elizabeth hospital)

3. website : (using mozila firefox only) www.davetsa.sabah.com.my . apply for ur own account first..it'll take half/whole day for ur password to b processed..after u obtain ur password,then u have log in and fill in ur personal details. after u done that, u HAVE TO VALIDATE ur personal detail FIRST before u can fill in ur pet's details!! call this helpfull person @ jabatan lesen/permit (miss rafidah: 088287411)..after she had validate everything u can proceed with ur permit application.

4. dlm 2 3 days..u have to check if it has been approved..then u have to pay rm11 atthe license office..then..(*bad news)u only can collect ur permit the next day..:(.. considering the office is far away from my home..its not that effective i think..

5.okay..so ur IMPORT permit is done.. so u can pass ur import permit to sbody in peninsula that is handling ur pet.. (import permit is VERY important..because of this my cat stranded at the airport!)..make sure whoever carrying ur pet has d copy of this permit!

6. next..bring the cat to the gov vet and get the petpassport done,health certificate n export permit..by tomorrow,everything is complete!! yey!{happy}

7.at the airport..they need to check this 4 documents.

8.price terkini i think around : rm20-25/kg.. (june2011) pet+carrier

9.so ur pet arrived..tadaa~!! but u have to go to the cargo areas to settle documents n all... get the kastam to cop some papers..pay rm15 at the counter 4 sumthing2..n rm10 to the quarantine guy...that then will take ur pet to the quarantine station in kinarut...u can follow them..or come by later..

10.ur pet will stay approx 1 month at the centre..but u can apply for 'quaratine-at-home'.. meaning they'll check ur pet now n then for updates.

ohh ya...theres no adress for kinarut centre..n google x ada jgk~...but to b simple..dr bndar kk...ikut jln to PAPAR... straighttt....if u saw tentera darat base at the left..then u r on d right track...then ada trafic light...ambil kanan.. 1st roundabout ambik pkul12..2nd roundabout (pkul 12 jgk)..straight smpai nampak ade pondok kecik berbendera malaysia kat kanan jln... kat situ lah die..huhuhu... sempat jgk lah saye sesat..haha

kuching-kl sy tak pasti pulak..myb boleh tnye org swak..hee{happy}

sistem blh berubah2..so kalau u nk lg sure,,pergi government vet di swak..n tnye dr situ..after all mrk2 jgk yg akn setelkn ur microchip..permit..sijil kesihatan..passport n all.

sy tak ingt sgt brp hrga microchip..tp myb around rm45 rasenye.. urusan2 permit u can budget around 100-+.. (which includes petpassport.microchip.sijil kesihatan.permit)

bhg cargo/flight will vary depends on the regulations lah..yg tu blh tnya MAS for any enquiries.

asalkn u dpt permission dr vet sabah utk bwk masuk pet..

n kuantan probably same jgk..u kne cek kat vet kuantan.

Problem saya pula, Malaysia Airlines tidak benarkan french bulldog on board the plane. Mereka bilang risiko tinggi kerana french bulldog hidungnya pendek, takut dia tidak dapat bernafas... Macammana?

the information is very helpful.

by the way the website should be www.davetsa.sabah.gov.my not com.my {wink}


i check dengan veteninary in sabah, they provide import/export service, but they charging 700-800 for the document settlement. so getting to learn how to do it all by myself save up alot !

so basically we just need. correct me if im wrong please. :-

1: import/export permit.
2. good cage to carry in our furry kids
3. medical paperwork and their petpassort(obtain from gov vet right?) - along with rabies vaccine.
4. pets must be microchip.


does the cat really need to be quarantine ? {cry2}

I nak tumpang tanya, ada sesiapa yang tahu tak jenis carrier yang airplane approve? sbb I dah beli carrier dan penjual tu ckp mmg airplane approve (label sticker kat carrier tu pun tulis cam tu gak, time I beli).

Semua dokumen dah buat (kecuali health cert and export permit, sbb kna tunggu 6 hari sblumflightbr boleh amik), so kalau jenis airplane approved carrier dah tahu, senang sikit hati ni, haha..Ada sifu2 yang boleh bagi info tak? TQ banyak2!

Dear mekmj169, kamu ckp kamu ada buat travelling utk kucing dua kali? does that mean kamu bwak kucing kamu travelling KK-KL dua kali?

Sy dan husband frequent travellers, and kami plan mo bawa kucing to semenanjung frequently.

Sy cuma baca about pet relocation, but not about pet travelling (frequently).

Kamu ada advice? Boleh share the details you did travelling for the cats?

can you give me details on the cost of moving your pet. I need to know roughly how much to budget to move my cat.

I will be moving from JB to KK. So im curious do I have to pay the cost twice as there is no direct flights from JB to KK by MAS.
