satu soalan!

semalam..saya caged kan kucing2 saya sebab nak basuh dapur.disebabkan bau yang amat hebat datang dari litter box si kenits tuh...saya pon amik glade air freshner tuh..dan semburkan la ke udara..seperti biasa la..ada bunyii zzssstttt bila kite pressed on the air freshner tuh..first picit, si pico melompat..bulu badan dah mengembang baek punya..saya dah terperasan..nampak macam kelakar plak..so saya picitla 2nd time..si pico melompat,si smurfy pon melompat..sebagai manusia yang suka tengok benda2 yang kelakar, saya pon picitla buat kali ketiga, tapi lamaaaaa sikit..tetibe semua nyer melompat..habis satu cage tu tunggang langgang..food and water pon spilled out..saya bawak keluar la si kenits tu sebab dieorg macam extra hyper and bulu kembang..and one of them dah start hissing/snarling like being attacked by a beast mcm tuhh...bulu dorang kembang betol..telinga pon tegakk je..so saya pelok yang paling dasyat tantrum dia..rase heartbeat dia laju sangat..rasa bersalah bebenor..ingatkan dieorg macam saje saje jer..rerupanya betol2 mengamok..nasib baik lepas dah pelok sekor2..tried to keep them in ease..lama2 dah okay..

itu baru penerangan..soalan belom lagi..

soalannya..kenapa kucing2 tu bertindak balas macam tuh? were they afraid of the sound (zzzssstttt) or was it because of the smell? since then, i dah tak guna dah air freshner tuh..biarla rendang ku ada bau bau-an extra sikit..demi kucing!

Sarah,kucing tu bukan takut dgn bau freshner tu tp takut dgn bunhyi zzsst dari pancuran botol freshner.kucing punya pendengaran sgt tajam dan jauh lebih kuat dari kita.bila kita dengar mgkn bunyi kecik tp durang dengar bunyi szzst tu kuat.sama gak mcm vacumn cleaner dan petir atau bunyi yg kuat2.perasan tak bila kita jalan perlahan pun dari belakang durang blh dengar?? itu blm deria bau lg.bau deria durang pun kuat gak.

ahahaha... chemong, atam ngan aning ok je ngan air freshner.. cume dgn vaccum cleaner jer dior fobia... walaupun tak hidupkan.. bawak muncung vacuum cleaner pun dior dah start bunyi bunyi bruce lee siap bukak buah kungfu lagi... hahaha... kakak try pakai aper tu.. air purifier tu.. senang sket.. dah tak payah nak sembur sembur dah... taruk je balang tu .. cucuk kat suis.. dah boleh hirup bauan nyaman... hihihi{shy}{shy}

yes, june you're spot on. they are startled by the "zzzsst" sound of the bottle spraying out freshener mist. this sound is very very similar to the sound made a by an angry or frightened cat - a zzzzssst sound means either fear or flight or fight.

sarahseben, do keep an eye on your cat, and see whether they are stressed by the sound- they will tell you, not in words but through their behaviour

me too. each time i go apply for EL, they'd ask me , "so cat lady, what's wrong with your cat this time"?

my reply to them, "at least you have the peace of mind knowing it's for my cat and not for my new job interview!!" {shy}

So kalo June mohon cuti EL selalu kena "Dalam Pertimbangan" or maybe "Get ready to potong gaji" whereas Ashley terus dapat "Lulus"! Wakakakaakakakakakkkkk!!!!!! {grin}

issh...don't say that. i don't always go on EL and i don't always go on AL also.

i'm fortunate to have a boss that's understanding. i frequently talked about my cats if they asked me so even before i tell them why i need my EL, they'd ask what happened to my cats.

one EL when ginger returned suddenly and we managed to re-"captured" him and have to take him to the vet - even then it wasn't for the whole day cos we ended up putting him there and then going back to work - so that EL was cancelled.

then the second EL when i had to take anna to the vet for unknown reason for vomitting and suspected poisoning, i also turned that EL into half day leave and came in two hours earlier -

well, since my boss is understanding, kita pandai2 sendiri not to abuse the privilege mah...

Betol, Ash, FurKids pulling your skirts oni (he oways do that, especially with June and Fantasticat (but Fanaticat he wears pants, not skirts! {oh})

Sama macam my boss la ... hari tu saya masuk bilik dia minta EL sambil menangis, he asked, "Are you alright? Your parents alright?"

I jawab sheepishly that I was alright but I was crying because a gentle female cat we TNR-ed was found injured after having gone missing for several days and had been reported kicked in the face by some "sotong" because she had been so manja pergi gesel kaki orang lalu lalang.

One of her eyes had popped out of its socket on impact and had swelled up bigger than a ping-pong ball all exposed and raw and she had been so starved and thirsty, thin and in so much pain she stood lapping at some water but could not get any into her mouth due to some dislocation of the jaw suffered in the kick!

My boss punya mata almost popped out in surprise, "You cry over a cat?"

"Yes," I answered firmly, "and over human cruelty towards them."

My kind boss was deeply touched. "Yes, humans are a cruel lot," he replied.

i don't have a cat-friendly boss but he doesn't mind if i take EL if it's pet-related.

My boss also very understanding.As what Ashley saidlah,no to abuse the privilage.He knows I worked very hard sometimes I work until night during peak season and certain Saturday and Sunday. 2 days ago I run out my cat food supply.most petshop also running out of stock due to some supplier still on holiday.I drove around the city to find any petshop selling Blackwood adt and kitten. Masuk office kol 1130 pagi.but I called him earlier told him I'll be late.Dia blh tanya,sibuk cari makanan kucing,sendiri punya makanan dah beli blm.he!!he!!he!! Tp klu dia marah I selalu ugut dia nanti I resign padan muka.Dah biasa with my temper.klu mengamuk blh pecah office.wakakakakakakakak!!

eh,ini furkids, pandai pula pulling our leg ah!! Kita org no problem to get EL or AL because kita org special.he!he!!!he!!

wakakakakakak!! takdelah Sarah.I tumbuk org yg jahat dgn kucing je.mcm my jiran kat KK tu.bodoh nak mampus.dah tau nak balik kampung uruslah kucing dulu.ini biarkan kucing dia mcm tu.kucing dia dtg rmh kami curi Bluey punya makanan,berak dan kencing dlm rumah.nak marah tak blh,kucing tak blh fikir.bila tuan dia balik terus aku sound dia.sambil jemur kain sambil sound dia.my mum kata menyesal aku bgtau ko tuan rumah kucing dah balik.wakakakakakakak!!

how is that poor cat? poor thing. poor thing.

is she alright now, i expect her eye will have to be surgically removed but what is important is that she is okay now.

then she'd be special needs cat , oh dear.
