Cat Adoption @ MCC Cat Show, Serdang - Dec 4 & 5

Encik Khalid of Malaysian Cats Club (MCC) has graciously invited PetFinder.my's rescuers to bring along cats for adoption at the MAHA EXPO 2010, where there will be cat shows and exhibition.

Below are the details:

Venue: Tapak Expo MAHA, UPM, Serdang
Date: Dec 4 & 5, 2010 (Sat & Sun)


If you are a rescuer that meets the following criteria, please PM me asap with your contact info and details of your cats for adoption, so I can arrange for you to bring the cats this weekend for public adoption:

1. You currently have 3 or more cats available for adoption
2. The cats are fully vaccinated and spayed/neutered
3. The adoption fee should not exceed RM200, including medical fees

We need to confirm with Encik Khalid within the next day or two, so please reply ASAP if you are interested in participating.

Hi Andy,

what is the condition of the Space provided? is it aircond or at least have fan? table and cages?

Not to be choosy on the location, but at least there are roof and fan. we don't want the can be under the hot sun. if without fan also, the cat will feel hot and their tongue will come out.

huhu..i was looking forward to participate the competition..but i was unable to be there on 5th disember....any contest later (2011) please do update.. =[

Actually I don't know the full details, Encik Khalid only briefly spoke to me about the event. If you are interested in participating, I can provide you with his phone number so you can find out more info from him.

Another PetFinder.my member, Najwa, is part of their organizing team too. I think you met her during last year's SACC Mall event. You can also get in touch with her for more info.

Hi Andy,

Actually she called me last friday asking me to join the event. But I said I cannot join last weekend due to I already have spay/neuter appointment on saturday. But did agreed to join on Sunday because one of my fosterer friend can supply cat for the event. When I asked more on the space/location, she said, the place they provide is just an open tent. Table might be provided but there are no fan. So, I just reject because the cat will feel the hot weather(even there are tent covering them).

I went there yesterday, where they exhibit some domestic and purebreed cats (about 12 of them - maine coons, exotic shorthairs, a pair of spynx and others) and few cats accessories. If this cat exhibition centre is the same as the adoption centre which i think it is, then it is air c0nditioned. It's located near the rodeo centre, next to rabbit breeders booth.

I've PMed you the contact info of Encik Khalid, can you give him a call to clarify on the location details? If it's suitable, maybe you can join them this weekend and hopefully find some adopters for your cats.

Hi Origin,

According to Najwa, its not the same with the exhibition space. The exhibition/competition of cause in the air-cond tent. else all cat tongue will come out at the mid day.. {happy}...
