Importing Cat from Germany to Penang

Hi All
We are moving to Penang end of July and are bringing our cat with us.

We are desperately trying to find an agent to deal with the import licence and quarantine in Penang. We have found someone in KL, but we want to be able to visit her in quarantine (actually rather she didn't have to go into quarantine at all!). She will be flying with us and our flight lands in Penang via KL.
We have tried to get the import licence ourselves but have been told it must be done in person
If anyone can recommend an agent or has brought their cat to Penang successfully, could you please help.
Thank you, Stratford

Hello, Stratford, and welcome to Petfinder!

I would recommend contacting Liz Tay. Liz runs a very fine boarding cattery outside KL, but she can also help you with all your import questions, including putting you in touch with an agent to deal with the import permit. You can reach Liz at admin@scallywags-malaysia.com, or by phone at +6.012.293.0522. She is a marvellous resource.

Best of luck!

Hi Maneki

Thank you for your email, it's really appreciated. As you can imagine, it's quite stressful trying to organise our cat's move. We emailed Liz this morning - fingers crossed.
Thanks again, Stratford
