sama samalah fikirkan yer........a)boleh jadi ada, b)boleh jadi tidak. Yang b) tu yang betul2 pure,tulus ikhlas dan tak mengejar untunglah.....a)mungkin ader segelintir regestered breder ni yang jadi kilang kucing jual kat tempat jauh......jauh dari pengetahuan orang yang ambil tahu macam kita nie......kah kah kah kah. Maklumlah permintaan kucing baka yang murah-murah ni agak tinggi..... ramai yang cari....nak harapkan yang ade cert yang mak bapak kucing tu dikalangan bangsawan mahal gila. So atas keuntungan maka biakkan lah kucing mereka banyak2...diam-diam tau tau dah ada kat nun jauh di seberang ker supaya lobang tak picah.( contoh nak menggambarkan jauh) Manalah tahu........agak jer tapi i macam ada sixth sence jugak.....jgn marah ye

Bagi saya lah, registered breeder ke byb ke memang sama, tak lari mana.....dua dua pun ambik untung dari kucing yang mereka jual.....so apa pula suka suka kutuk each other.....bukan semua registered breeder jaga kesihatan kucing mereka n bukan semua byb tak jaga kesihatan kucing mereka, cuma masing masing mempunyai cara cara yang tersendiri......Jangan salah anggap saya nie byb.....saya memang mengaku saya beli kucing dari petshop, tapi apa daya...wang tak cukup untuk membeli seekor kucing pedigree....nak ambik kan kucing sebagai kucing kesayangan untuk dipelihara pun hendak lah memenuhi kehendak sendiri......berlainan orang mempunyai citarasa yang berlainan....tak kan kita nak paksa kita sendiri untuk terima benda benda yang kita tak suka, betul tak? So pandai pandai lah kita memilih benda benda kesukaan kita, mahal pun ada, murah pun ada, jangan lah sampai kita asyik nak mengetahui orang beli kucing dari mana....semua pintu petshop terbuka untuk semua pelanggan, cuma pelanggan jer yang hendak lah pandai pandai memilih mana satu yang baik......

Pernah juga dengar orang cerita konon konon ada satu registered breeder, jualkan kucing dia ke seberang untuk di jual kat pet shop, ada pula yang cerita konon konon kucing dia datang dari usa, tapi sebenarnya datang dari China pula...hehehe. Yang kat pet shop tu mungkin the owner of the pet shop jual nama breeder breeder yang terkenal supaya orang akan beli kucing dari dia, itu tak tahu lah.....

Kalaulah i ni ditempat breder tu OH MY GOD so shame....i don't know where else should i put my face nie......kalau semua orang dah tau,tapi orang saja buat- buat tak tau.....Wah memang memalukan. Tutup belah depan,belakang orang cam......tutup belakang ,tepi pula orang cam.....lastly tutup semua.....duduk dalam gua lah jawabnyer....kah kah kah kah.

There is no such thing as a Certified Breeder. There is NO exam, NO interview, NO pre-condition, NO criteria that a breeder has to meet to be qualified or elevated to a Certified Breeder status. This Certified Breeder status is NON-existent.

Since Jimmy has explained it succinctly, I'll just quote his post #148 at page 8 in this thread.

One of the worst things about them is not only how unethical their breeding is but also how they encourage more pet owners to be BYB. So....you see, even Jimmy is not a certified breeder {shy} because this status simply does not exist. He is only an ordinary, ethical registered cattery breeder.

The question is how to recognize an ethical breeder. I don't claim to know how, but this is what I know about Jimmy. And I am at his shop quite a bit to help out with his rescued cats so I believe I am in a position to observe him.

So, I shall use his standard as a benchmark to measure all breeders. Yes, I am ready to be shot at by BYBs and kitten mills.

01) He does NOT have kittens available for sale at any one time, i.e. he does NOT breed his cats all the time.

02) He may have a litter of kittens, but chose to keep all of them for himself because his purpose of breeding is to improve the breed standard for show purposes.

03) He only uses less than 5% of his cats for breeding, choosing only the very best temperament to continue the line. And he doesn't hesitate to retire his cats after he has improved their line.

04) Once he retires his cats, he REHOMES his cats FREE of charge. Yes, you read that right.

A much sought-after Felis Wonder pure pedigree Maine Coon is given away for FREE to deserving people when he has been offered as much as anything from RM10k to RM30k for it.

I personally witnessed all the above, and that is how I realised that his name has been much maligned by unethical breeders who didn't like what he was doing (refusing to be a BYB).

i see nothing suggestion proposed here besides blaming certain ppl sajo..

cuba la suggest how to make this campaign works.. such as..

lebihkan promote strays.. atopon at least... 1 stray at 1 home.. mcm itu satu komputer satu rumah la yg government buat tu... nak suruh government potong cukai utk satu rtumah yang ada satu stray mmg lah tak boleh kan..

We are still on topic. The title is Campaign Stop..... so that means, we have to expose who those people are, and stop patronizing their shops if you are against BYB.

If you are not against BYB, then you are free to continue to support those pet shops, including Petsmore, Pet Safari, Pets Wonderland, etc. I have stopped going to those shops, and that's all that matters to me.

This thread is for the sincere and genuine animal rescuers like Acysen, Lynielime, Sashy, PugsnMutts, AshleyWong, June, Furkids, and many others whose name I might have missed out.

Some might not realise it, but we are, in our own way, trying to help reduce the number of strays by boycotting any pet shops that have any dealings with BYB. We understand and appreciate what these animal rescuers are doing, and we are doing our part.

You have a choice. If you're not interested to help or contribute to this worthy cause, then please skip this thread.

And yes, I totally agree with you, Chemonk, that 1 stray in 1 home is an excellent idea. We need more of this kind of ideas, people. There are currently many beautiful strays in Jimmy's and Alicia's shop. Please help yourself to one.

I forgot to add, it is hilarious to see people running away from their post. (like running from responsibility, yes, it is very tempting in the virtual world to just write anything you want, press "post" and run ... )
Just a health advice, "Too much running may be bad for knees, make sure you get a good pair of shoe."

Chemonk, Shareen if you have nothing better to contribute other than incomplete, confusing, very abbreviated posts (oh, how can I forget, "the running part.."), then, what about running to a different thread more towards your liking?

yelah... kadang2, apa yg di war2kan tu kasi panas jer.. entah2 adala makhluk2 yg iya2 cerita,potpet tentang sana sini dan pulak ada yg sokong sana cni... x mustahil jd byb.. duit beb.. apa pun bleh jd.. marketable lg.. thats the point..

dah nama pun petshop.kedai haiwan peliharaan... so x lari dari jual,bela binatang..simple, senang paham..

p/s: suka tgk cik mong lari2.. kena kejar anjing ke pencegah maksiat?

I forgot to add that Trendy Pet Shop, a pet shop I boycott becos they support BYB, is owned by a Chinese man.

As I said before, it doesn't matter whether you are Chinese, Indian, Malay or others, I will speak out without fear or favour.

And there is another pet shop, too, owned by a Chinese lady, that is not ethical and needs to be exposed, but I'm just waiting for that forumner to share her experience here. All I heard is through third party, so please, will the person come forward to share what she knows.
