Hamster Fur Query?

My Female hamster has recently (over the past 2 weeks) Grown long patches of hair. One place is either side of her tail, and the other is behind her neck. I read somewhere that Female hamsters should not grow hair and could be a sign that she may be male or ill. I can't pick her up to have a look underneath as we are not able to handle her. I have tried feeding her a treat up high so she climbs up to get it to have a look but cant see anything at all. Could you help please? The fur is about an inch longer than the rest of her fur. {scared}

Thankyou. {cool}
