I don't know how much is psychological and how much is inborn knowledge that poo is bad for us... here's an example... did you know that you really don't have to house train your dogs? they would not poo where they sleep... so, if you let your dog into the house, they'll want to go out to poo.. so, even animals knows that poo is bad... (although they do lick em and eat em at times)...
