I adopted my cat when she was a kitten. I found her at my next door neighbor's house. She was meowing very loudly. I had to go into the front porch to retrieve her. Now she's already 1.5 years old.
I sincerely hope that your kitten will come back to you. That's how I adopted my cat too, she came to me.
