i am NOT a reptile expert, but here's my 5 cents.........
look at the legs to differentiate between turtles and tortoises.
a turtle is found in and around water, and has webbed legs.
tortoise, on the other hand, is found on dry land and has stumpy legs, like an elephant's.
is the tortoise/turtle hurt in any way? check its shell...is it scratched or anything? it sounds to me like it could be sick or something, since it's not normal for a living thing to not want to eat for days.
