Hi Andrew. I am most distressed to hear this. I agree with the complaints about the poor treatment of the raccoon. It should never have happened. The raccoon was given to us by someone who got it as a pet and then got tired of it. And we thought we were giving it a home. I have already given instructions that the animal be handed over to people who can adequately care for it. We obviously cannot release it into the wild as it is not an animal from here. One of our partners has good connections with people who operate petting zoos and know how to care for the animal properly. We sincerely hope that the raccoon will find a good home. And we sincerely apologise to anyone who may have been offended by our purely innocent act.
