we used IVAR shelving from IKEA to make climbing/lounging shelves for our cats. if you look to the left, we also wrapped a six ft length of pvc gutter pipe with carpet for them to climb.
the glass room is obviously NOT DIY. sorry, couldn't find picture without the glass :)
