bolehlah kot.heheheh!! cuma aku dari dulu mmg tak pernah pakai frontline.aku eliminate kutu2 kat kucing aku pakai shampoo machiko tu.mmg mampus suma kutu2 tu klu aku mandikan durang pakai machiko.pastu aku pantau dgn spray seisi rmh pakai Hartz dulu tp sebab Hartz dan kena recall aku cari ubat lain pula.aku baru jumpa ni.ada 2 cara pemakaiannya.samada ko guna cara spray atau pun mop rmh.aku pakai kedua2 cara tu.ubat tu namanya Bayticol.botol kecik cinonet je tp tak perlukan byk utk pakai benda alah ni.campur dgn air nanti rupanya mcm susu.aku masukkand dlm botol pancit dan spray seisi rmh.3 hari sekali bila aku vakum rmh aku mop dgn Bayticol ni. aku baru pakai je.

Ooohh Bina, im so sorry to hear that. Hopefully, you dont lost hope and do your best to them. Blood in poo due to diarrhea is a normal thing... after few times should be okay, as long their appetitte is okay. Are u changing their diet? If you do, probably diarrhea due to that new diet. If still persist, quickly bring them to vet. Diarrhea may pose a more serious threat if not treated soon. My pray goes to you and your cats Bina, good luck...

Nak jadi citer, Pakcu bwak la si Littail Mike sekali nak vaksin, tapi vaksin yg ada dah expired...hehe, kena la tunggu minggu depan. Hmm gomen2..
As a potential business man (ahemm!! - tokay pet shop) you should know that in a low demand areas and un"sangka"-rable clientele in the area, the clinic cannot simply stock up the expensive vaccines since it is so slow moving, buang duit pembayar cukai sebab stock lama pun tak habis guna dan expire mcm tu. So, dia tunggu la bila pelanggan yg betol-betol sayang kucing enuf to vaccinate them tu request mcm Pakcu, baru la mereka orderkan.

Huh, you pergi clinic swasta yg unscrupulous kemungkinan rather than throw away the expired stuff, they might just apply it on your cat and charge you for it. Ataupun cari the BYB yang konon nak vaccinate kucing yg dijual kepada unsuspecting buyer. Bila buyer tanya, "Dah vaccine?" BYB jawab, "Dah!"

Pakcu, make sure you monitor dan apply medication even long after the kitten nampak dah pulih (ikut the information leaflet which comes with the eye cream, if it is not given to you, ask for it to educate yourself) and the antibiotic MUST complete the course, jangan wujudkan super-strain bacteria atau kitten suffer a relapse. Be very careful, some jangkitan mata (example Clamydia) can cause blindness or some scaring in the eye tissue which results in partial loss of sight for the cat and can be quite permanent.

Blood in anything is NOT normal, friend! I always take it seriously and find out the actual cause ASAP!

A vet recently told me that Feline Panleukopenia is in the air and told me to be very alert and cautious when I told him that my friends have rescued a batch of about 10 kittens and they are all kept together in a room in different cages.

Yes, I agree "blood" in anything is NOT normal but maybe common in situation like "I changed kitty's diet!".

Thanks Pakcu for the advice, at least, I don't have to rush my kitty to the vet just to get the same answer.

Anyway, does this mean that the new kibble is not suitable for kitties? Should I go back to the old brand??? Or, should I put them on special diet like boiled chicken until they get better?

Why should blood appearance be common in a situation where you change a kitty's diet, can someone who accepts the situation as normal kindly explain? Sorry, I stretched the grey matter between my eyes in my head but I still find no answers, seriously, guys. Diarrhea, I can accept because a cat's digestive system is very delicate, hence the instructions on each bag of cat food to introduce new food GRADUALLY. But BLOOD?

I "googled" ? "Ask the veterinarian?"

http://en.allexperts.com/q/Ask-Veter...unny-stool.htm

Answer
Red blood in the stool comes from the colon or a little ways up in the large intestine.
While she may not be off her food etc, the Zodiac could have started the diarrhea.
It isn't serious unless there is a large amount (the blood that is).I would more likely suspect 1. worms-round worms will cause diarrhea and a pot belly.
2. A change in food. This will almost always cause the diarrhea. The blood is from a ruptured and irritated blood vessel in the colon or large intestine.
Put her on some soft-boiled rice for a few days mixed with her food and give her a little half teaspoon of Kaopectate-NOT PEPTO BISMOL! That has aspirin in it and is dangerous for cats.
Kaopectate is only a kaolin base (clay) that helps slow down the gut and with water absorption, thus slowing down the diarrhea.
If she isn't better in two days from the above, it is time to call the vets!Let me know how she does.

Don't get me wrong, I love my cats but I don't want to go running to the vet everytime something "unfamiliar" happens. That's why we have forum, to ask others, and others to share their experiences.

Like Lulu, she lost her voice (but still active, eating ...). I got very worried, I "googled" and there it was, the solution - to feed with wet food and monitor for a few days! And she recovered, in two days!

BUT, if, Lulu lost her voice and appetite, not active, I'll send her straight to the vet...

Yup, we can't be running off to the vet every time something "unfamiliar" happens, especially for single-income households with multiple cats. For humans, the govt clinic & hospital is only RM1, while the specialists hospital is RM5. But govt vets are a lot dearer than that, and most of the forum members don't even live close to a govt vet.

I remember being so worried when Blackie vomitted, but when I googled, I found that if it has appetite, active and still wants to play, no problem. Well, Blackie was still playful and active, and didn't vomit after that. But had Blackie been inactive, and vomitted another time, I would have sent him to the vet.

So, don't worry, Bina, you did the right thing. But....you know, maybe you didn't change the brand gradually? 1/4 new portion + 3/4 portion old, and slowly increase the portion of the new brand?
