Injured Cat Found. - Page 2

Hi all,

I got a call from the vet this evening,

She's already been sedated so that the vet can clean her wounds so its lessen the pain for her.

I was also inform of an unconfirmed there is a suspected fracture on the tail and the left behind leg. I hope not serious....

I will know the current conditions if i go there tomorrow afternoon... lunch time maybe...

OMG!! Fracture on the tail?? which part?? I hope not at top end because my Peterpan fracture his top end tail and that cause him unable to pee and begining of his misery for the past 2 months until I fed him with air gamat and apply minyak gamat on his butt.

Oh no poor baby! Good thing you found her. She must've been suffering terribly. It sickens me that other people just walked past her and didn't bother to help. How can one not sympathize at the suffering of others whether human or not? All creatures feel the same pain. People who don't realize this are emotionally retarded. We all have a responsibility for each other on this planet.

Thank God you found here if not don't what will happen to her just being left there..
Neway the cat look really cute,still sleeping nicely eventhough hurt, she really2 look like a strong cat..
the cat still have the chance to live as long you're helping here..
good luck for the kitty and you...

i wonder how she got the injuries in the first place..

While it is true that I agree with you, lynie, I feel angrier knowing that there are people who intentionally hurt innocent animals. It's this latter group of people that I feel are emotionally and mentally retarded --- if they hadn't hurt this poor innocent gal, she wouldn't be in a position where you feel sick that no one stopped to help her.

Hurt has been intentionally inflicted, and nothing makes me more sick or angrier than this.

yes,minum.human also can drink.taste like orange juice. looks like orange juice also.I use syringe to feed Peterpan twice everyday until now.I use the Gamat Oil to apply on his butt.Now I can see he can lift his tail but not that high.If I continue feeding him gamat water and apply gamat oil,maybe within 2 or 3 mths he will fully recover.

1. She came out from surgery to clean and stitch her open wounds. I think its about 12cm with 17 stitches.

2. Tail is fractured. Symptoms are just like what June said, may need to be assisted to ease herself.

3. Condition is stable, but still on drips, weak caused by the sedative. Conditions only can know when she wakes up.

I will try to visit her again 2morow... hope for better condition.

Thanks for the updates. Thank goodness that she is on the mend. we hope the "incontinence" is only temporary but she'd be classified "special needs" cat.

i'll try to find more information on special needs cat so that whoever foster her or adopt her will know what to do - this will make it easier

Darren,if her tail fracture is same like Peterpan then she will need full attention from you.I can share my experience with you as per Blackie. It was not easy. I was phsyically and mentally drained but I love my Peterpan very much and willing to go all out to make sure he get well again. I fed Peter twice a day with air gamat and apply the gamat oil on his butt.Slowly he regained his ability to poo/pee. Thank God now he already recovery although he cannot lift his tail completely yet.soon I hope.But at least he can poo and pee like normal again.

Its wonderful if you and blackie can share the experience of the magic of Gamat. I probably need to get a crash course on that and be prepared for any consequences that might occur.

only tomorow afternoon after 2 when i visit her again i will know how she is doing if she already wakes up. by then i will need to consult the vet on wether what is best actions for her situation and what impact it may affect on the treatment cost.

in my honest opinion, i dont mind to spend another rm20 per night to ward her for a few more days until she is really readdy start to feeling less pain, drinking, eating and stronger.

i am more a k-9 person since in my childhood days they are my lovely pets. now since i moved to kl 10 years ago i x keep pets due to space constraint.

but i also have the affection 4 cats and other animals also, and there is no political factor that can turn me away from that and i am really sad if i see them get hurt...

p/s: i did came across an ex-minister (if im not mistaken) buying pet food ant the clinic just now.

to him, i gave my respect his compassion for animal regardless of your political position stand.

We are here if you need any advice and help regards to the cat.

Regardless of race and religion animal are still God's creation.Although I'm a Muslim but I will not think twice helping dog or other animals in need. But sadly not many people share our view.Most of them think that animals are pest.

Keep us posted on her progress.
