My kitten of 4 months old is currently at home, recovering from panleukopenia...

we have another kitten that has been kept away from her, we generally wash our hands, feet and face and change our clothing after we've been playing with her to avoid transmitting the disease to the other kitten.

And we mop the floor with clorox every few days...any tip to care for her? Thanx..

I had this scary experience couple of months back.. i lost 1 and the other survived ( 7 and 8 months old) Luckily, it didn't spread out to my 2 other little kittens ( 1 and 4 months old). I kept him in a cage for a week and make sure that they didn't share the same litter tray or bowl for about a month.

Keep your eyes open for any signs of infection...take a look at Furkids posting for related topic, it's very useful... good luck!!

Oh, okay...Thanx for the tip, will do, sekarang tengah scrutinizing the other kitten's behavior, stool, appetite and all...hope everything will turn out okay..hee..Be Yet Wiser? V.I? hehe

is this disease only fatal to the kitten under 1 years either vaccine or not?

maybe skang ni wabak ni tengah melanda. tadi pegi vet wat check up kucing dr tu kata minggu ni je dah 9 ekor anak kucing mati yang dia tahu. (saya menyumbang 2 ekor daripada statistik tu) semua datang klinik bila dah teruk. just harap semangat kucing tu je nak lawan penyakit. yang sempat divaksin tahan 2 minggu yang tak sempat vakisn tahan 1 atau 2 hari je.

maybe kalau ada owner yang kematian anak bulu's sebab penyakit ni leh repot kematian kat sini. mungkin boleh wat statistik ke apa ke. tambah skang ni musim hujan.

lagi satu mungkin kalau sesapa yang p vet skang ni patut bawa pet carrier yang bertutup skit. mana tau dok borak2 sambil tunggu giliran tak pasal kena pulak penyakit ni. kadang-kadang pet owner ada yang jadikan klinik ni wat tayang anak bulu's dorang. (just untuk ingatan, klinik ke hospital ke memang tempat penyakit ....... tapi meja rawatan dan timbang dalam bilik dr pun guna yang sama juga. takan lepas sekor masuk nak lap clorox balik.. ... hehehe)

skang ni saya observe ikut sukatan kibble yang anak kucing saya makan. kalau hari bekerja bubuh 2 sudu je untuk seekor. selalunya petang memang habis. kalau tak habis mesti ada sesuatu yang tak kena. kesan awal banyak membantu.

so untuk permulaan saya kehilangan 2 ekor anak kucing pada minggu ni disebabkan penyakit ini. hadooyaiii... frust..
