Problems with people wanting to adopt pets

I've had this happen to me twice now - I put up some of my kittens for adoption. A few people will call and tell me that they are interested and want to adopt. So what I usually do is put them on reserve until the adopter comes to pick them up. In between, there are other people who are interested in adopting which I have to turn down as the kitten has been reserved. On the day the adopter is supposed to pick them up, I give them a ring and they end up CANCELLING THE ADOPTION.

This is really, really frustrating. Why say you want to adopt when you have no interest in doing so?? Furthermore, I have turned down potentially good homes for my kittens because of these people.

Any advice on how I could avoid this from happening again? It's really stressing me out.

No need to turn down others, you could explain to potential adopters and put them in waiting list.
Or you could use first come first serve basic, but maybe the person too exited and not thinking twice, the kitten end up got return, pass to others, go back to street
