Default Melaka Vets

There are 2 vets in Melaka that I have very good experience with and would be confident to recommend to pet owners.

One is Dr Jeya in Semabok. He does some work in the SPCA Melaka as well. He isn't a very sophisticated type of vet, hes more down to earth but he truly loves dogs (can't comment on other animals as I have no experience there).

His H/P is 013-6302208
Clinic: 06-2830002
The clinic is near the squash court in Semabok. It is one of the houses along the road.

His prices are very reasonable, and he also makes house calls for vaccinations if he has time. Was easier for him to come over than to bring 4 dogs to his clinic.

When Buggy was down with something when she was 6 months old, he treated her very well and didn't load her with meds, but kept her hydrated with an IV because she had not eaten or drunk and gave me advice on how to keep her comfortable. That was ...8 ish years ago.

Scampy had a UTI (urinary tract infection) which he treated with a lot of antibiotics and also gave diuretics, and happily managed to cure it. So he doesn't prescribe drugs indiscriminately but he wont be scared to use if needed. He explained what he was doing for Scamp and what each drug was for. Hope I didn't get the drugs mixed up, been some time :)

His approach is very common sense and sincere

Another good vet is Vally Vet.
Phone: 06-2849918

In Vally I was very impressed with the attendant over there, I didn't catch his name but he handled both dogs I brought there with care. He didn't manhandle them with force and make them scared.
Dr Tan and Dr Chan were also very nice to both the dog and the owner :) The dog wasn't stressed by the visit.
The surgery Dr Tan did for Bugs healed really nicely

They are a BIT pricey but what to do :P
But when our dogs had surgery to remove some lumps, they sent the lumps to Pathlab for biopsies. It was very reassuring to know what it was
