Default Cat getting fleas...AGAIN! Any other ideas???

On 1st Jan, I applied Frontline Spot-On Combo on my cat as a monthly maintenance. A few days later, I see her scratching a lot. I didn't think it was fleas since she didn't scrath much last month.

Then yesterday, I got 3 flea bites on my self and my boyfriend has even more because he's always carrying my cat around

Is there anything else I can do to stop this flea infestation ONCE and FOR ALL?? It's been 3 months and I'm so out of ideas. I vacumn 3 times a week, mop every 2 days....etc

It looks like the whole problem is starting again!

My cat is strictly indoors (apartment).

looks like ur cats have lots of fleas so u need to use the frontline spray..and spot on is a must monthly..besides, u might wanna do extra cleaning these few months until the fleas are gone..use clorox to mop ur floor, change all cushion or sofa cover..spray them with clorox also and put them under the sun..and dont forget ur carpets and curtains..use only tiny portion of clorox..thats good enuf..vacuum regularly also helps..i myself do have this problem and its really annoying i know

Is your problem resolved now?

Yes my kitten had a LOT of fleas when we adopted her because she was a stray. I thought it's finally settled since it's already the 3rd month on Frontline Spot On. I'm also using Clorox for mopping. Looks like I have to keep this up....until it's all gone.

Now I'm afraid to even touch my cat.

Dear All, Ectoparasites control is really a dedicated effort..., whether they are fleas or lice or ticks...if you manage to eradicate the parasites out of your pets, 95% more (eggs, larva, pupa) still able to survive in your furniture, household environment. Frontline COMBO spot-on would help to kill all stages through contact after 24 hours of administration...do not skip the monthly regime

If you find Frontline doesn't work anymore, you could switch to other product, to name Revolution 6% for cats...it contains different active ingredient which do same action - to kill adult + all stages parasites

To expedite the process of eradicating the parasites from in your environment, i would suggest the usage of insecticide such bayticol, taktic (amitraz) would be greatly useful, but must be used with caution since they are POISON... use like every 2 weeks (our climate favors their breeding)

Good luck !!!

Hi,

Now looks like it's getting better. I hope there won't be anymore. I bathe her 2 times a month and I still use the flea control once a month.
