I rescued my dog a year ago but now I need to find her a new home
Hi, about a year ago I adopted two beautiful puppies by the names of Hershey and Magnum from SPCA, and since then me and my family have raised them since then. We changed Magnum's name to Cookie since we wanted something less complex. All was good until we moved to a smaller apartment and had to give up one of them. I listed up Hershey, who was a Dalmatian on this very website and thankfully she was adopted before we fully moved out. So I was left with Cookie and we entered our new and much smaller home. Being that Cookie had spent a year with Hershey and now they were separated she was under a lot of stress. Whenever a dog on the other side of the compound would bark she would bark back in fear. Any noise would startle her and in general she spent a lot of time cooping with losing Hershey. The building management sent us a letter informing us that some neighbors have complained about Cookie's barking. Even though there are a lot of other dogs in this building. Of course I got right on it, calming my dog down every time she barked, taking her for more walks to keep her tired, but it wasn't very effective. The second letter came with pretty much the exact same text saying a couple of neighbors have complained. So I wrote a letter back explaining cookie's situation and how she just needs time before she can stay calm. Less than a week later they sent me a third letter informing me that DBKL was coming after my dog. I was shocked at how inconsiderate and merciless they were. A day after the letter a officer from DBKL broke into the house with one of the guards' keys accompanied by the management ready to take my dog. After a huge argument and racist remarks such as "we don't like your kind of dog" being thrown at us we were given one week to get her micro chipped and licensed and overall three weeks to remove her from the premises or else she would go to the dog pound. We have arranged to board her for a month but after that she needs a new home. please, if you have made it this far, consider giving Cookie a new hope. If you just can't adopt her due to your circumstance let someone you know who might be interested in adopting a dog know about her story.
