Tell me, is your cat spayed? Increased vocalisation (sometimes downright screaming
) can indicate that the cat is in heat. Other signs are increased physical contact -- rubbing, etc.
If she is spayed, she may just be vocalising more as she grows more comfortable with you. A lot of cats learn that making noise results in attention. Make a lot of funny noises, and the human comes over and makes more funny noises in response, and sometimes offers affection and food. Yay!
Finally, unusual noise can sometimes indicate illness, but if she's eating, drinking, and excreting normally, then that's unlikely.

Is this a sign that she's bored? :/
