Default adoption

me and my gf like to adopt a dog but we are staying at condo, additional to that we are renting a room with others which makes it difficult for us to breed a pet
may i know is there any shelter around cheras that have adoption which provide us the shelter and we do pay for the expenses.
what we need is a place to keep the pet and we'll visit often(make it simpler, just same like other adopter or foster but we don't bring it home)
my email is lglnet84@hotmail.com
pls revert if any help could be given
thank you

Default Re: adoption

I don't think a shelter would let you adopt a dog as such without taking it home as it negates the point of adopting (to get the dog out of the shelter and into a loving home), it would be cruel to take away that opportunity from a dog by keeping them in the shelter, if you understand what i mean.

Its great that you want to adopt a dog and also that you realize that you wouldn't be able to provide for it adequately at home but i'm not sure if having 'your' dog staying at the shelter is the solution.
Maybe you and your gf could consider volunteering the time and money you are planning to set aside for a dog to a shelter, that way you can help lots of dogs and then when your living arrangements are more suitable for owning your own dog, you will already have an idea of exactly what kind of dog you prefer (looks, temprement etc.) from all the different dogs you have helped care for during your volunteer time.

Of course rememeber that volunteer work is not all sitting around playing with cute puppies, it can be hard work both physically and emotionally. Try stopping in at a local shelter (i don't know any in Cheras so someone else will have to help you out there) and discussing the possibility of you volunteering with them and exactly what kind of things it would involve you doing. It would also be a great way to spend quality time with your gf as well :D .
