Default My cat's wound getting serious

My cat was bitten by a stray cat and she has a wound on her hip. It is about the size of her nose. I brought her to the vet twice, but the wound still couldn't be cure. Instead, it grew larger and now it is bigger than a fifty cent coin. I have been using a spray for pet's wound on it, but it is still serious. The wound is wet and watery. I am so worried about her, what should I do to cure her wound?

I would strongly encourage you to go to a different vet clinic for a second opinion. Where do you stay? Forum members may be able to recommend a reputable clinic near you. Hoping for the best for you & your cat...

Thank you for your advice. I live in Menglembu, and I only know the clinic at Persiaran Desa Rishah.

Hello! It's a bit late now, but a Petfinder member in Ipoh recommended Dr Teoh in Ipoh Garden East. I hope you can find some effective treatment for your cat!

Thank you for telling me this. I hope I could find a good doctor for her. Although it's a bit far, I might take her there.

Until you can get the animal to a vet, Please also try these things, that have worked for me in the past :-

Warm salty water or saline solution (Use cotton wool or a small plastic tub)
Wash the wound out with this either by flushing the wound or by soaking (depending on the location of the wound)
This helps to kill the germs and if the wound has maggots in it, the maggots will drop out

Fido Wound Spray (RM10 at Carrefour)
This also works wonders but while the medicine doesn't hurt the animal (the animal doesn't seem to be in any pain when the stuff is sprayed on a wound), the sound of the spray will make them bolt and scratch you in the process. So please be careful!

Good Luck!
