SUCCESS - Good Fri Day is now known as Pepe!

my frens and i found him crossing a quiet road near our office and thought he was a lost dog... when we neared him, we saw he was fleas infested (hundreds of those darn fleas!

) and so suspected he was either lost for a long time or a stray... but a stray basset hound? hmmmm... after much phone calls, we found his so-called owner and learnt that the dog was actually kept in a factory and let out to freely roam the streets!

i spoke to the owner and he agreed to surrender the dog to me where i will find him a good home...

we found the dog on a friday, so my fren named him Fri Day and decided he deserves a surname, hence the addition of Good...

the new owner actualy google-ed dogs for sale or something like tat, and the 1st result was actually a link to PetFinder.my! so they browsed thru petfinder and set their eyes on Fri Day! they visited Fri Day at the vet where i was boarding him, and decided he is the dog for their home... coincidentally, Fri Day went to his new home also on a friday... Fri Day is now renamed to Pepe...

when he was found, Fri Day was in a bad shape... skinny, with patches of hair missing from all the flea bites... today, Pepe is such a happy and healthy dog, with nice shiny hair and slowly gaining back his weight... he loves belly rub and human contact...

thank you to PetFinder.my as the timing of when the dog was found and when the website was launched are just so right... i always believe things happen for a reason...

Really glad to hear that Fri Day is now living happily with a nice loving family. Looks like he's enjoying himself in the pics eh!

Good job in rescuing him, and I'm very happy that PetFinder managed to play a role in helping him.

yeah Pepe is having such a good life now, i'm so happy for him! his new family loves him so much! n Pepe has a female basset hound fren a few doors away! the owner told me Pepe would always stop at that house during his walks n look inside for his fren... haha so cute!

oooohhhh yes... thanks for reminding me abt the 1000s more to save...

Hey PugsNMutts.. I am so happy for you and pepe.. I love to hear success stories like this.. it makes you want to go out and save more animals who are in need of our loving care..

PetFinder is happy to be of assistance... After our launch a month ago, we have now become the main source for animal lovers and also for SPCA and PAWS to showcase their animals..

Same story as the boy who throw "starfish" back into the ocean 1 at a time. A guy says to him on how foolish as how will he be able to save thousands of starfish that got stuck on the beach. The boy just respond...smilingly..

"It sure makes a different to the 1 that I've just thrown back".

Well, that's what we are doing... every each one that we save, makes a huge different, right?

I maybe new in petfinders but I'm sure proud that we can make a different ! All started with a good hearted, Andy..

Yup JDaniel, it's never too early to do a good deed, no matter how little or insignificant it may seem... some people might just procrastinate and say wait till they are rich and powerful to do a greater good, but we believe in starting out small and make whatever difference we can.

And helping these poor animals really builds our character - we give all our heart and expect nothing in return, but the satisfaction of knowing that they are now living happily with a nice family is the best reward we can ask for..

Let's all keep up the good work!
