Default Feline Exploratory Surgery

Anyone's cat had gone through exploratory surgery before?

Last Thursday, my cat started vomiting about 5 times a day and stopped eating and drinking. I took her to the vet and they did ultrasound and Xray to find out if there was blockages and found one. My cat was admitted for observation and was given laxatives in hopes that it will ease the blockage. She was also given IV treatment for dehydration. She was discharged yesterday morning as the blockage had moved to the colon region and the vet thinks that she would be able to release the blockage through normal defecation. Sadly, she is still not eating nor drinking today and I had to force feed her water to keep her hydrated. She vomited three times throughout the day and the vet recommends that I sent her in for exploratory surgery in the morning. Has anyone had similar experience? What was the outcome? I am very worried
