Help! Nursing cat needed!

hi forummers,
first off, i'd like to thank everyone who followed my three little orphaned cows' progress for their kindness and all the encouraging messages, emails, and smses. i haven't updated this thread for a month coz i was afraid of being too optimistic about the one remaining kitten but everything seems ok now so i thought i'd share some photos of big moo with you all.. my little survivor.. also lovingly known as lembs, giz, gizmo, and monkeyface.. because he's soooo cheeky now. here are some photos of him with ninja fat fat..

Big moo is so cute ... his tummy looks a bit bloated though, over-eating? Ninja taught him well I guess! :)

yup his tummy is very round.. don't know why.. he's been dewormed but its still like that. he does eat all the time. he'll run around for a while then have a snack, then run around some more, then return to his bowl, then run around, then eat again.. he needs frequent refuelling i guess

good work with big moo. he's well on his way to being a healthy frisky kitten.

looks like ninja is he adopted mother of big moo. if you didn't tell us, we'd have thought ninja is the mom - almost same colorings and ninja is so compassionate.

i'm so proud of him and you too...

p/s: so your moo runs around like that - i thought my sebastien is "odd". he runs around like nobody's business - exactly like moo - play, then eat, then play then eat.

do let me know when you are migrating moo to kibble, he's on canned food now, right? how do you keep the canned food from going dry when you leave it out for him?

moo's on kibble now actually.. i realized it was time when i caught him raiding the adult cat food bowls . during meal times when the big cats gather around for their grub, moo is right there with them sticking his little face into their bowls.. they find him so strange that they just get out of the way and watch helplessly as he chows down. so now, when i feed the big cats, i have to put moo in the cat room and close the door.. he's particularly interested in ninja's fatty's special food for obese cats. all the adult cat kibble is too big for him to eat, but he tries anyway..

so, first i tried him on acana kitten, but i realized that the pieces are still too big for him. he does not like them wet either.. so finally, although i'm not a fan of royal canin, i had to buy their babycat 34 kibble. its the only cat kibble available small enough for very young kittens to eat. i really don't understand why other pet food manufacturers don't have a kibble formula for kittens between 1 and 3 months old.. there is a HUGE size difference between a 2 month old kitten and a 4 month old kitten.

yes, you're right, the kibbles of Orijen, Acana and NB are too large for a 2 month old kitten to chew on - and you're right - although a 2 month kittens have a mouth full of sharp little teeth, there's a vast difference between 2 month old and 4 month old.

you know what i tried to do? smash NB kibbles (with a metal bowl then with a small hammer) - but it is quite dense and difficult to smash without me smashing the table or damaging the floor - what i do for the time being is to soaked the kibble just soft enough to mash and it looked like minced meat_ odd that there it is..

it sounds pathetic of me but i just didn't have time to visit the nearest (which is not so near and which most close by the time i get home around 8pm) pet supplies store to pick up a bag. believe it or not, about 2 months ago, i tried to buy a bag and it was out of stock at many places!

did you pick up yours at pet people plaza damas? do they open past 7pm? ooh i just found out my colleague is going to plaza damas today at 4pm but she's not coming back to office and i can't ask her to buy for me!

when you describe moo, i'm reminded of sebastien.

how is moo's poo when on RC Baby34? soft? smelly? firm?

i couldn't find rc babycat 34 at pets people plaza damas.. so i had to go to rainin cats and dogs in bangsar. do you know where that is? its near bangsar village. they're open till 9 on weekdays.

moo's poop is ok i guess. i wouldn't say its fantastic. its a little too soft and yeah it does smell
