Default I need your opinions. D:

I'm leaving for Kuantan this coming Saturday for a family vacation for about 3-4 days. The whole family is going except for my older brother and 2 maids. Belle (6 months old) and Elvee (4 months old) are going to be in one of the maids care and hopefully my brother - who's not at home often - will check in on them.

Belle and Elvee are both indoor cats. They're sorta caged inside my bedroom. xD I will only let them out if there is someone to supervise them outside of my bedroom.

So, my main concern is the maids. I'm worried if she'd open my bedroom door and my babies would run out, run downstairs and run out of the house or hide somewhere in the house and they would scare them into permanent hiding.

Should I keep them in a cage while I'm gone and tell the maid to let them out at certain times of the day?

Pet hotels at the moment is not an option. ;|

I've placed their kitty kibbles in a few plastic bags, so that the maid would only open 2 bags per meal for them. I would also diligently call them when it's meal time.

Wah. I'm really worried lah for leaving them with the maids.

Dear Alya, here are my 2 cents,
Good to know that your maid will look after your kittens. Trust your maid but makesure clear instruction given. For the maid not to forget anything, probably you should write the instruction on a noticeboard or print it on large paper, paste at the most visible place.
Please, not caged them in a cage, let them roaming in your room. As long there's no access to outside world, you should not worry too much on the kittens accidentaly go out. Just make sure your house main door is always close most of the time and windows shut.
Good, call your maid dilligently and Have a Nice Holiday !!

Thanks for the reply. Well, I've already written the instructions and placed it on my bedroom door.. and I think I will put another copy on their bedroom door. Just in case, knowing that my maids are very very forgetful. Hmm. I'm still kinda worried if they closed the door and my babies would follow her out of the room quietly without her noticing..

Shoot. I'm being so pessimistic, but do you think that's possible?

Oh. Thanks for the wish!

Ok, good. Make the instruction as clear and as large as you can. To know that she's a forgetful lot, call her as often as you can, not only on time for kittens makan time, but also to have a friendly chat with her and show that you care not only for the kittens but towards her as well. Ask her, what type of gift she wants then she'll be happier, calm, relax and more committed to the task. Hehe.. psychology sikit..
