Kesian Peterpan. Bila balik dari HK hari tu,tengok dia tak mau makan, monyok. Risau juga.Ingatkan apa.
Kena scaling lagi dia. 2 hari selepas tu bawa dia pulang & nurse him back. Tiap tiap malam kena tidur dengan muka kami kena mengadap muka dia. Kalau tak dia mengiau kuat kuat macam takut sangat kami akan tinggalkan dia. Macam jaga baby pula. Mana kami pergi dalam rumah tu asyik mengekor saja.
Lepas tu bawa dia pergi Reiki kat Pet Epicure 2 weeks before Raya. Olivia (adik Alicia) cadangkan Peterpan dibawa untuk acupuncture dengan Dr Susanna Brida Hofherr (Dr minah salleh). So far dah pergi 2 kali. Dia kena lengkapkan 5 kali session baru nampak hasilnya.
Tapi beberapa hari ini nampak Peterpan dah tak makan bersuap lagi. Dia dah makan sendiri, dah pandai minta bawa keluar. Cuma ubat ubat kena diteruskan. Walaupun baru 2 kali buat acupuncture, tapi setiap kali selesai session dia nampak lebih rileks dan tenang. Harap harap Peterpan akan cepat baik.

Update on Peterpan. Dengan rasa gembira I announce PP dah 50% kembali sihat. Ubat ubat vet tak dapat membantu so I turn to an alternative medication as usual.
I sent him for Reiki at Pet Epicure (Alicia and Olivia's place). Olivia recommended me to contact Dr Susanna Brida Hofherr (Her website www.asiapaws.com) for animal accpuncture.
Before that I sent PP to Cheras Segar vet to treat his gingivitis problem. He was on antibiotic for nearly 3 weeks. When I brought Peterpan to Dr Susanna for accupuncture, she immediately asked me to stop giving PP antibiotic but instead feed PP with butter (not margerine) with flaxseed oil mix with his food. At that time PP still need to be force feeding other wise he won't eat or drink. I feed him with A/D and Natural balance mix with Flaxseed oil, butter and Probiotic (this was also recommended by Dr Susanna).
Probiotic is the opposite of antibiotic. Probiotic is need in our stomach (human or animal) for proper digestion and absorbing all the nutrition needed by our body. (remember Vitagen??) According to Dr Susanna, antibiotic can only be consume for 10 days only. The effect on taking antibiotic too long is losing our sense of taste and smell. This might cause why PP refused to eat. Too much of antibiotic can kill good germs in our stomach. That's why I have to feed PP with Probiotic.
Another interesting info given by Dr Susanna, Feline Leukemia not able to consume fat. That is why she asked me to feed PP with butter and flaxseed oil. Both containt high fat and by consuming this 2 items PP will gain weight again. He looks scrawny before but now he gain a little bit weight after 9 days I include butter, flaxseed oil and probiotic mix with his meal.
Probiotic cost RM57 per bottle (contain 30 capsules), Flaxseed oil (1 small bottle) cost RM49.90. I bought it from Guardian pharmacy and Jusco (organic food department)
Our Abang FK juga suruh kasih feed dengan gamat Zaniton for recovery. Kucing dia beberapa ekor sakit FPV,he feed with Gamat Zaniton and show some improvement. Hepi!! Hepi!!
Peterpan has another 3 more accupuncture sessions with Dr Susanna and I hope he will gets better.

Tak kronik sebab kalau kronik gigi dia kena cabut. Gigi dia masih boleh pakai. Cuma kena scaling. Sekarang ini akak bagi dia makan, makanan yg soft, liquid type. Even A/D dan Natural Balance pun akak campur air. Dia akan hirup air sambil jilat makanan tu. Bagi dia ikan dan ayam rebus akak carik smp jadi koyak rabak & campur air rebusan. Dia hirup dan makan. Lega tengok.
Tapi sekarang ni akak tak campur butter dlm makanan dia. Akak campur probiotic dan flaxseed oil je. Butter akak palit kat mulut dia. Dia jilat dan lepas tu muka berkerut kerut. Kakakakaak!! kelakar tengok.
Satu hari satu paket kecil butter tu habis. Bila dia nampak akak pegang paket tu,berlari bertempiaran dia. Tau takut.

Re: FeLV
Sis June, kalau PP punyer gingivitis adalah disebabkan oleh FELV, it will be chronic and will recur later on. Kalau it is because of his teeth condition, scaling will help, otherwise, tidak. But I believe it is caused by FELV as a common symptom. Teeth induced gingivitis normally occur at an older age and PP is a relatively young cat, so FELV remains the main suspect. FELV and FIV induced gingivitis is very common in the younger cats.
Stomorgyl 2 is the newer medication found very effective in treating gingivitis. It is a combination of metronidazole plus spiramycin. These 2 antibiotics when combined together has been found to produce a synergic effect which works very much more effectively to heal the mouth sores than using one or two of the same antibiotics separately at different times. Using Stomorgyl 2, you will not need to medicate PP for 3 whole weeks like using the antibiotic you were given, killing much more good bacteria in his digestive system.
Stomorgyl 2 is a little more expensive and because of its cost, many vet clinics do not carry it and choose to treat gingivitis with some other cheaper and less effective older antibiotics, citing various different reasons to customers.

FeLV
Yes bro. I know the gingivitis is because of FeLV. It will recur later but for now I just have to control the virus by giving him special diet food. Dr Susanna designed special food for my cats. I have to home cook for my cats. Skrg ni servant dah tambah kerja tp gaji tak naik juga
Bro, this Stomorgyl can eliminate gingivitis tp penyakit tu blh dtg lagi tak?

Re: FeLV
Salam Kak June dan rakan-rakan,
Stumble upon this post while searching / googling on FeLV here.
Kak June, how was your PeterPan?
My dearest Bobo Jr is confirmed having FeLV few months back and how he has developed same symptom, he has gingivitis in his mouth. It keep come and go.
The vet told me that his condition will be worsen from time to time. He will die eventually.
So understanding that FeLV has no cure, I just did whatever it takes to reduce Bobo's pain, especially at his mouth. Everytime his mouth worsen, the vet will provide him antibiotic and pain killer. This will stop after 7 days so.
Right now Bobo is permanently on Vetri DMG and Vetri Cell Advance. I dont think this 2 help in Bobo's condition. Like I said, the gingivitis keep come and go.
Do you guys have tried any alternative supplement and eventually your FeLV cats get better? or perhaps 100% heal? It is great if you can share your experience here.
