Errrrr, Lynie, my 5-year old nephew asked the 5 million lolar question that if those blood thirsty local authorities (who go round picking up dogs and cats wandering around whether they have collars and licenses or not and whether they are spayed/neutered or not) prefer snapping the animals' necks and drowning them over euthanising them, what are the odds of them actually favoring and supporting the humane method of spay/neuter?

big fat sighhhhhhh

your nephew is right and very wise. there will always be some abuse. there will always be some sickos out there.. there's no perfect system. it can only be perfect in theory, humans are the flaw.

i don't know.. its all very discouraging however you look at it. i'm gonna go sulk and be moody now and think some more about this.

Blackie Bond.. you do bring up a valid point... It's always in the enforcement even after a wonderful law has been passed. However, when it comes to enforcement, it's always 'corruption' and 'laziness' that's the problem... this is not just with enforcing laws on animal cruelty, it's on anything.. even road traffic offences...

Education is always the best place to start and from our schools for young kids.. But again, that will probably take a couple of generation even if we started providing proper education today...
