Don't know what to do with stray cat and kitten! HELP!
There's a stray cat and kitten near my church that I fed last week. The kitten looks older than 8 weeks old, black, well fed. Probably dumped there. The cat was slightly skinny, but it had a distended or bloated belly. I don't know if it's a health problem or if it's pregnant. The cat is really sweet, seems domesticated. Mews when she sees me and rubs her leg against me. The kitten on the other hand is very feral. Spits and hisses at me when I tried to go near it. Put some food for them, but the older cat gobbled everything. Tried to give some to the kitten but it didn't touch the food.
One week later, and the kitten is not there anymore. I think I heard it but I didn't see it anywhere. Fed the cat again, but it's really distressing for me to see her like that (at least I think it's a her). I want to take her home to get checked but my parents are dead set against cats. They can't stand them. And during the weekdays I live on the island. I only come back during weekends.
I want to do something for her, especially if she's sick or pregnant. Can't stand to leave her there like that. I'm no cat expert so I really need some advice right now!
