Kitten afraid of me..what should I do.Help please :(

I'm new to this forum so hello to all the animals lover..Here's the story..I'm just adopted a kitten..around 3months old..and the problem is that kitten seems afraid of me..hiding at the corner and don't want to be near me..I know I should give time to him to get used to the new environment but in the meantime can anyone suggest what should I do to make him get used to me?

u can try to buy some cat's wet food to attract him come to u and u also can try to play with him using some toys. the most important thing is alway touch him....hope that this is helpful for u

Please be sure that your kitten has a safe place where he can go when he's afraid. It might be only a cardboard box in which you've cut a little entrance. Putting a soft towel in a cat carrier and leaving the door open is another option. It should be a bit dark and in a quiet place in your home, if possible. It's his place to hide, to enjoy his little retreat and to feel safe. When he knows he has a safe place, he'll feel more secure to come out and explore a bit.

These are the videos i found on youtube months ago, it teaches you how to socialize your kitten. even if its a feral.
I found it quite useful i followed the method and successfully socialized a 4 months old feral kitten.

Thanks Gene..It's useful..Thats what I'm doing after I got him home..I think now my kitten is not afraid of me anymore. It's a good sign when he's start to play and getting near me right? He's super active and keep running here and there in my room..he'll chase anything that move The problem now is when I put him in cage he'll sleep in his litter box Have to figure that out

good to know, but then if i may ask:-

i have a situation myself where i just obtained 3 kittens from a friend, the thing is i made a mistake in letting them see other cats through the cages (thus triggering a certain hostility hissing and all) while i was talking to my friend(the one who gave me the kittens). now the kittens are so so afraid of me and everything else and i fear that it is permanent.

my friend told me that one is a feisty one, the other two are just scared. so when one is being afraid and hostile, the rest follows.(they are siblings) is it possible if i separate all three and let them calm down. any help or advice would do.
