Im worried.. Please advise.

Dear All,
Probably some of you still remember about Pakcu last posting, about the new aquarium lasting for 5 hours only. Ok, the sole purpose of having that is for Argo to release some stress (if he really did have). At the same time, he is also on tablets (medofulvin125) for his fungus problem.
Now, after a week the fungus problems all had been cleared but the treatment will continue for another week as advised by vet. What i'm worried now is his behaviour, he lost interest on the fish, like to be left alone, not eager to be patted when i'm near, quite frequent get angry with other cats, dont like to be patted by strangers. Alhamdulilah, his eating habit is still healthy.
Are all this are the side effects of tablets? or Pakcu had to let Argo out once a while? The 2nd options are quite scary since Argo last time had been kidnapped and found after 10 days. The story ada kat kampung lama.

Pakcu,saya ingat nak bg cadangan tp tak tau pakcu boleh terima ke tidak.kdg2 ubat doktor ni tak berkesan.lepas tu ada side effect.saya dulu masa Peterpan sakit,byk perkara saya belajar.iaitu alternative medication yg sebelum ni saya tak begitu amik pot.apa kata pakcu beli gel gamat yg dijual dlm harga RM17 satu tiub.tutup tiub tu warna merah. sapu kat fungus area.kucing saya kat rmh skrg ni bila melecet kaki/badan/telinga saya sapu gel gamat dan Alhamdulilah berkesan. masa Peterpan sakit dulu,mcm2 ubat doktor bagi smp lembik2 si Peterpan.then kekawan mcm si Imann,Nurul,Alicia cadang cuba gel dan minyak gamat.dlm masa 1 minggu luka dan saraf Peterpan pulih.walaupun tak pulih sepenuhnya smp skrg ni baru pulih.wound Peterpan takde kesan langsung skrg ni.pastu skrg ni ekor si Peterpan dah mula bergerak2 dan dia dah blh angkat bila kencing.mgkn klu saya teruskan lg medication bg minyak gamat dan bg minum air gamat dlm masa beberapa bulan dia akan sembuh terus.cubalah apa yg saya cadangkan ni.InsyaAllah boleh tp klu tak blh juga,jgn marah kat saya ye! he!!he!!

Tq v much June. InsyAllah, pakcu akan cuba. Petang nanti pakcu try cari gel gamat tu. Pakcu pun fikir sebab tablets tu argo behaviour jadi mcm tu. So, mcmana ek.. nak discontinue ke tablets tu, sebab fungus tu dah clear. Vet ckp kena continue sampai 14 days... hmm.

Ok June. Nak tanya, kalau gel tu utk external ok la kut, tapi air gamat tu kucing minum ke? kucing sakit apa utk minum air gamat tu? setakat ni ada apa2 side effect tak? Thanks for the tips June.

Most comments are very positive and encouraging but still some are very negative. Anyway, you took it in strides, and Alhamdulilah, PP dah sembuh sekarang. Happy nyer Pakcu dengar. i was really2 amazed, kak june and pp really2 never give up, not even a bit...

neway sometimes traditional healing are much more better then medications as there are less chemicals in it and more to natural stuff...
maybe the healing time while using traditional method will take time but it's worth it..
try any possible and safest way we can for our babies right?

hope argo will be much more better...

salam angraldo (cewah...cam tulih surat chenta lak)

anyway...gel gamat & air gamat ni..mmg bagus....my vet yang suggested to me masa my chika operate cancer kat nenen dia...ada 3 ketulan sebesar telur ayam tu...so after operation...luka dia takmo kering dan cantum..sbb byk isi dah kena korek..so lubang...almost 3weeks pun masih berair...then my vet cadangkan sapu gell gamat...dan picit kan gell gamat dlm lubang operation tu...alhamdulillah within a week...kering...dan dlm 2weeks camtu..cantum elok...air gamat tu..terpaksa picit masuk mulut dia la...mmg ribut topan le juga nak kasi dia minum...tp demi kebaikan chika...mommy terpaksa kasi dia gak...

Vet pun ada cakap...within a year...akan ulang balik cancer tu...but now almost a year...so far takde sign lg lah...mmg slalu kena chk area nenen dia......

lg satu yg slalu I amalkan (atas nasihat vet )....kalau cats demam and cirit...let say tgh mlm vet tak bukak...u can give them air glukos & 100plus...its really works tau...my cats kalau cirit...mmg 100plus je la ku picit dlm mulut....and within a day dah ok...no more cirit...but I still bring them to vet la kalau still tak ok...but at least...dlm keadaan terdesak tgh2 mlm kan...glukos tu mmg sedia ada kat umah...just incase...

pls observe whether it is because he has lots his ranking among the cat hierachy. if yes then maybe it's because dia merajuk he slipped further down the cat hierachy. macam my nicky recovered from his bacterial infection tapi perangai lain macam sikit. i thought to let them play in my room but one of them kencing on my clean clothes! this morning baru perasan sebab i nak pakai and there was this horrible smell!

sorry lari tajuk...but make sure you buy yang tulen...jgn sampai terbagi makan yg ciplak then ...maybe more problem lagi.

yes, Ashley,I share your sentiment about in this bolehland.he!!he!! but worry not.this gamat that we talk about is genuine.I forgot the name but normally you can see they sell at cosmetic kiosk in the mall.I bought mine from Carrefour neary my office.Not from Carrefour but outside Carrefour. They set up a kiosk and selling cosmetic like Mustika Ratu and others traditional and local product. Gel gamat and minyak gamat the tube and bottle is transparent and the cap for both are red. The air gamat name is Gamoden with red packaging also.Written on the bottle and tube Healing.I should upload the pics here but been busy lately.

June, nak tgk latest pic of PP? Upload kan yer. PP tu memang kuat betul semangat dia utk hidup, probably dia dapat semangat tu dari u gak June, yg tak pernah patah semangat n putus asa. Really, it is a great inspiration to me.

Pakcu,saya baru balik dari Carrefour tadi.lalu kiosk yg jual gamat tu.Nama brand tu HEALIN.klu gel gamat durang pack dlm pinkish/reddish dijual dgn harga RM16.klu miyak gamat dlm kotak kecik mcm miniature perfume.harga RM4.90. yg air gamat GAMODEN packaging warna merah tua.yg tu besar sikit botolnya.lebih kurang mcm botol 100 plus. tapi gemuk sikit dari botol 100 plus. harga RM115.

Gambar Peterpan yg terkini saya dah masukkan dlm laptop tp tak pandai uploadlah pakcu.jenuh budak2 ni ajar,tp tetap bengap gak saya ni.he!!he!! saya cuba upload mlm ni.

Hi June. Kita ni mcm janji2 ler. Pakcu baru balik dari bandar Jerantut tadi, cari gel gamat. U kata warna merah, puas cari tapi tak de yang merah. So, pakcu beli yg ni. Rupa2nya betul.. hehe.

Iman, pakcu jumpa gak yg tu, tapi mcm June ckp, dia warna merah so nak cari gak yg merah... hehe. Rupanya bukan merah, pinkish sikit.. hehe.

Hi all

a word of caution about using "holistic method" in malaysia. the folks over in overseas countryies has done researched into holistic medicine to complement traditional veterinary medicine and those who offers holistic medical therapies and medicine are trained.

however we don't have that here. i'd advise that all of us who are interested should read up on this and read widely in order to make an informed decision...for the sake of our furkids.

and we should be aware that some holistic medicine which we use ourselves can't be used on cats per se like that.

perhaps we can open a new thread just to share information and create awareness..

packcu besides using gamat, do also see whether his current condition is due to behaviour-related stress as ever since his sickness his hiearachy might have changed.

we can all compared notes then. my nicky has also just recovered from his bacterial infection (i'll open a new thread later on this...need to inform and spread awareness how fleas/mites/ticks infection goes beyond unsightly parasites sucking your furkid dry and giving the annoying itch.) and he has lost his ranking in the hierachy. he's still has to take his medicine for another 21 days and i'm observing to see whether his current quietness/sulkiness/moodiness is due to medication or behavioural stress.
