SCOPE: Start Control Overpopulation Pet Event
Teamwork Event Organiser has engaged Save A Stray to execute SCOPE. Together we aim to:
Instill an understanding of owners responsibility to their pets welfare; beginning with the basic fundamental medical essential of vaccines, deworming and blood parasites treatment.
Ensure pets are licensed after vaccination as required by local by –law.
Introduce micro-chipping for non-pedigree pets management.
Demonstrate how pets can be good canine citizens with training and discipline.
Educated how pets should be cared in the form of literature, talks and demonstrations from veterinarians and experienced owners/ trainers.
All these services including spaying are provided free of charge to the selected pets at this event. This project is a catalyst and MUST succeed to ensure repeats throughout the Klang Valley to educate the public on humane and sustainable control of the stray population rather than the present policy of catch and kill.

3.00pm - 3.30pm: Feline Nutrition

Re: Volunteers Needed @ Save-A-Stray Spaying Campaign, Dec 19th
On 7th morning we had a training session at Dr. Bun clinic in OUG. All in there were 5 of us Mr. & Mrs. Edward Chong, and another 2 gentleman, so.. sorryyyy ..forgotten their name haaa… and myself. We had a very interesting session under the guidance from Dr. Bun. Our task is to help Dr. Bun in preparation for anesthetic. Dr. Bun patiently teaches us the right technique in handling especially those aggressive dogs, cos we’re not their owner. We had live practices session putting on muzzle on Dr. Bun dogs, 3 models dogs was brought out for the training. Dr. Bun told us jz incase muzzle runs out we have to use rope to act as muzzle, he teaches us how to tie the loop. Lifting of dogs onto the table for anesthetic needs proper technique as not to strain and injure out back cos the dog will not sit still and allow us to lift, there will straggle.
Last part was shaving. Edward wife’s, Eva had a live practice session on 1 of the model. Simple as it look it but need lot of practices. Hope Eva won’t do it on Edward head at home for practices session haaa…..
jz kidding lorrr…..
See you guy on 18th evening at Cheras for rehearse …..

Thanks blackie007. Talking on the phone might not be easy to understand coz we're not familar with the place, there're too many "Taman" around haaa... example - if she were to tell me on the phone turn left from Leisure mall than go straight, turn left and than turn right, further up turn left again and than right, round about take 3 o'clock and take left turn haaaaaaa.. if i were to miss 1 of the junction i will be taking the merry go round...
My thought were if someone can guide us through the map it would be much easier to understand.

Congratulation to Andy and whole team. I adore your great effort. Watching the video just giving me bad feeling because not participate in this lovely event and working with wonderful team.
I wish there would be another 'Save A Stray' organised and wish could participate.
two thumbs up for the whole team, and ...... Thanks you. *I feel so touched*
Yup, Jacqueline and the Save A Stray group executed this campaign very well, together with YB Jenice Lee and her Teratai team members, as well as the support of Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya.
They also graciously invited PetFinder.my to participate and gave us a chance to see this unprecedented cooperation in action.
Hope they can all keep up the good work, and extend this effort to other areas!
