cemane awak bleh bela lagi sekor kucen sedangkan baru 2-3 hari lepas awak bgtau yg awak nih bukannya minat sangat kucen. Dan bela kucen pun sbb dia comel + BF belikan. Plus awak ade cite kat saye yg awak xde masa sangat nak tgk2 dia. CUma bleh jaga makan minum & pasir. Cemane awak nak jaga lagi sekor? Bila saya suggest awak mandikan dia dengan syampu Malaseb...awk ckp takut dia sejuk & cuma bleh lap2 dia jer. Klu takut dia sejuk, mandikan la dengan air suam. Klu awak x de masa sekalipun, awak kne jugak carik masa. Awak keje + study, time yg xde kelas, tp keje..y not awak aply Cuti. Setengah hari ker. At least awak xkan nyesal klu ape2 jadik kat dia. Saya rasa perbualan kita kat bawah nih ari tuh mungkin awk still ingat lg.

saya cuma nak bgtau awak yg saya x kisah klu awak tanye ape2 pasal kucen selagi saye bleh tlg, saye akan tlg dan saya nak awak tau yg saya BUKAN prejudis terhdp awk tp klu semua cadangan yg saya kasik, awak x bleh buat dengan sbb klinik jauh, mahal, xde masa nak jaga, x minat kucen, bela sbb cute..sbb tu la saya suruh awak masuk Petfinder then tanye org dlm nih yg lebih tau & byk pengalaman dr saya. Dorg x kedekut nk bgtau ape yg patut. Saya cuma blh tlg awk dengan kasik awak no hp klinik yg saya biasa pergi dengan harapan awak call doc @ vet berkenaan dan tanye pendapat ape yg bleh dibuat dengan kucen awak. Jangan tggu dia makin parah dan saya pun dah cite kat awak ape yg jadik kat kucen saye kan.

Saya mintak maaf klu awak tersinggung tp saya cuma nak kucen awak selamat dan saya kesian sangat kat dia. Saya doakan awak jumpa jln yg terbaik dan kucen awak mendapat ape yg terbaik utk dia. InsyaAllah.

kisah elle ni teringat plak kisah sy masa mula2 nak bela kucing,sy hadiahkan kat gf sy sepasang,mula2 die pun tak ske kucing,last2 die plak yg over,lebih2 lg masa sy ambik tomy tu,badan die penuh fungus...bile dah slalu rawat n makin gemuk,die plak makin syg....so pasni ble my miau sakit ke,ape ke,tak dela cepat melatah...sbb biasanya org akan syg miau ble die comel n bersih,tp ble sakit,dah taknak...kalau rasa2 tak berkemampuan nak bela,baik bg adopt kat org lain...pernah skali tu,sy berhabisan duit sebb kucing...tp sy tak kisah mahal ke ape ke,janji my cat semua sihat,syg dah mengatasi segalanya...

tolong jgn pakai salt. sakit kucing tu. cuba korang luke korang taruk garam kat luke tu sakit tak? cube pikir sikit tu dah dera dah tu. nanti badan dia yang luke tu akan jadi merah sgt tu menandakan dia sakit. kalau bagi salt lepas tu korang nak pegang dia mesti x nak kan psl bdn dia pedih sangat. kite bagi mandi ngan malaseb pun kucing2 ni nangis ni pulak bagi garam.... alahai cian nyerrr mesti sakitkannn. lain kali jgn bagi garam yer...

klu ader fungus, bagi mandi ngan malaseb. guna air suam2 panas tp jgn panas sgt... lepas mandi keringkan kucing tu then lepas kering belai2 sikit bagi kucing ni tau kite manjakan dia psl dia sensitif sikit iyela psl dia ingat kite dera dia.. psl pakai malaseb ni bdn kucing jd merah pedih2 sikit. tapi lepas tu elok.. bagi mandi selang seminggu depends on fungusla. selalu lepas 2 3 hari dah licin dah n tumbuh bulu balik n sihat yeah.

tp klu dah sihat rajin2kan bagi mandi kucing psl nanti dyer lagi manje n x takut ngan air.. p/s klu i mop umah depa siap main slide slide gitu hehehehe maklumlah tapak kaki ader bulu

i think vet offer injections for fungus kalau kucing tu dah cukup berat. but mmg injection is the best la. lepas tu sapu topical cream for fungus mcm Canisep.
kalau kucing tu kecik lagi, u have no other choice but to mandikan kucing tu dgn medicated shampoo mcm malaseb and sapu topical cream kat bada kucing tu.
and kalau fungus tu dah jadi mcm keras2 sikit, i pernah lumur tempat yg berkerak tu dgn minyak gamat, and then gosok slow untuk hilang kerak2 tu. pakai gloves! mmg berkesan. ada satu vet ni pun pernah ckp, kalau mandikan kucing for fungus, selagi tak nampak kulit kucing tu mcm pink2, mmg lambat lagi la nak heal.

Dont you just hate Fungus!
My little baby has also got fungus but like you said the skin looks pinkish so I geuss she is on the way of healing.
I bathed her and after bathing I put 'Wisperec' fungal cream on her. Now ada little little hairs growing on the part.
Whew..... what a relief.

hmm, mira did asked my vet about the salt, she said salt is good for fungus. guna garam halus letak air. jadi kan air garam. thn sapu dgn cotton :) i did that. and my kittens are okay with it. diaorang takde lah meraung ke apa. sbb selalu nya, if sakit, the will marah or menjerit. but they macam okay je:)

Nevermind, you stick with your salt and I'll stick to my Ilium Fungafite Antifungal Cream / vet + weekly cleaning with clorox. I haven't seen any Fungal for the past 1 year tho. Maybe you can go with June's idea, cleaning up their places with clorox.

Read on the net that Epsom salt is good for fungal but not too sure about our fine salt as our fine salt is for cooking

dat's why. I do googled and yes, I've found Epsom salt also. But, an ordinary people like me would assume it's just salt ( as I am nothing near a chemist). Thru my reading, Epsom salt is not the same as our normal salt. It's more to salt for bathing ( for medical reasons on human ).Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate and our normal salt is sodium chloride..am I rite?

Bottom line is,don't simply sapu ubat yg tak dikenali atau petua2 yg diajar tanpa mengetahui contain benda2 tersebut

Ha..ha..... I agree... I am also neither a chemist but its better for us to do a bit more of research before trying new things on our furbabies. Don't want to endanger them. Besides sodium chloride, some fine salt contains iodine which I heard is not good. Yes, Epsom salt is used for bathing people with problematic skin.... it tends to tone down the redness of the affected skin and in time heal it.

Better stick to good old Malaseb and the latest I cream I found which is 'Whisperec' an antifungal cream. Very effective

im sorry , i did asked my vet about it, and she said it is okay and salt is good. i do have fungal cream to akak. :) just telling since it works fr flackie.

Not entirely your fault Amirah. Our roles as owners / mother to these furkids are to enquire and to provide as much as we could. Sometimes, we need to do extra homework tho. And dat's why Andy put up this forum, for us to lighten our homework. I do doubt my vet several times ( as I know, when someone is overwhelming with work, we tend to say yes to everything. Even I do to my students ). In fact, I would even choose to consult more than 1 vet to really know the accurate answer. The best one so far is to do your homework, google / read , ask around the forum, so that you know what to ask your vet and to not just be satisfied with an answer which is 'nothing near the answer'.
