Default my tomcat still spraying even after being neutered

hi guys :)
i really need your help bout my cat. his name is tigger and i just sent him to clinic to undergo a surgery to complete his neutering. i mean a vet neutered him and found out that he had cryptorchid. so i sent him to a veterinar surgeon and she removed the other testis found inside his upper abdomen. the problem is, today i released him out of the cage after taking off his protector collar. the first thing he did is spraying on the kitchen cabinet.
is that normal? i mean maybe it got something to do with the bladder prob or kidney or it's just a habit. i don't know. do you guys have any ideas? thanks everyone

itu sebab dia nak kencing.. spaying tak bermaksud sekat pundi kencing.. habis takkan nak berak je kot... mungkin awk keluarkan dia masa dia nak kencing sangat2.... awak tunggu 2-3 minggu. kalau dia kencing merata lagi.awak pergi balik ke vaterina..kata kat dia nAk jahit muncung burung kucing awak tu...

All my tomcats are spayed when they were young and they do spray around the enclosure occasionally. Spraying is marking behaviour, not a litter box problem. The cat does not need to pee; he is leaving a message for other cats.

Dear Hanna nana,

Even though your tomcat had been neutered recently, the male hormones inside him still remains for a few weeks, especially if he is a fully matured and was on heat recently. After a few weeks (6-8 weeks) the male hormones inside his body will be eliminated, but since he had been neutered, he could no longer produce new hormones, hence he will no longer have the tendency to mate or territorial owning. Tomcats spray to mark their territory and to advertise their availability to female cats on heat.
However, you may find your cat to spray when you are moving to a new house, or when you brought a new pet to your house, but the urine will be less smelly because the absence of the male hormones.
and yes, cats also spray to show their dissatisfaction- in other words they are protesting . But don't worry, I'm sure your cat will forget about it (if not forgive you- I'm not too sure of my 14 cats myself). Just give him time ya
