Salam and hye everyone {victory}..

After read about siam cat yang kak nurul savekan dari dbkl tu, and i ada call kak nurul taye pasal tempat tu, kesian sangat2 kat mereka yang terbiar..{cry} kak nurul kata cat yang kene tangkap ada yang dlh lagi.. its mean, byk jugak cat2 yang lawa, even domestic short hair pon cute jugak if kita jaga dia btul2... macam last sunday i pergi tgk adoption cat dekat bangi, ada seorang kakak ni dia bela sume cat tepi jalan, tapi tersangat2 la comel...{high}... Geram je rase ye...{grin}..

So, i thought i nk participate dengan kak nurul n lola save those cat.. so my intention is to save those cat and then kembirikan mereka ni.. after that i akan open for adoption.. because, i tahu bila cat2 ni da jadi comel, mesti sume {high} bila tgk bulus2 comel... So i just suggesting to u guys to participate too.. same2 kite save those cat dekat dbkl and i look at spaying fee near to dbkl, murah je.. even female baru RM70 to 100... jantan RM50-70.. terpulang la sama ada u guys nk spaying ke tidak, cuma bila da spaying those cat tu, skurang2nya terjamin la.. xde la yang konon2 nya nk buat baka lawa but then dumped the cat at the street...{angry}... fee for adoption dekat dbkl baru RM15 seekor..

Memang banyak kucing kucing yang lawa kat situ cuma keadaan yang memburukkan mereka sebab mereka sangat kotor dan berbau. Bayangkan dalam sangkar kecik ada 10 ekor kucing. Di sana la mereka makan, disanalah mereka berak dan di sana la mereka tido {sick}.

Because of space constraint, saya dan lola hanya mampu keluarkan seekor atau dua ekor je pada satu masa. Bila kucing tu dah di adopt baru la kucing baru boleh di masukkan. Alhamdulilah ada seorang nak adoptkan siam tu tapi saya nak pastikan orang tu akan jaga kebajikan kucing tu sampai la akhiratnya. Tak nak pula kita selamatkan lepas tu dia menderita lagi {sick}. So kena la pilih orang yang betul betul sayangkan kucing.

Satu lagi... untuk pengetahuan semua, untuk spay and neuter program, kita boleh dapatkan harga jantan RM25 dan betina RM35 seekor. Ni semua dalam 'Snip Program'. Satu lagi berita terkini, dulu mereka akan gunting sebahagian telinga tu menandakan dah spay tapi sekarang tak. So saper saper nak kembirikan kucing sila contact saya atau Ramzee untuk registration.

Registration one week before operation sebab perlu ada approval dari pihak SPCA dulu sebab harga murah nie.

tu da kira bgus da kak...{wink} hurm.. murah je dari tempat laen kan.. nanti sy try cari tempat yang besar sket tuk cat2 ni... dulu saya ada minx tolong paklubis jagakan arnab2 saya n kucing sekor ni... dia ada sangkar agak besar la.. kawasan tu pon besar... nanti sy try call die taye.. n sambil tu cari tempat laen jugak.. so maybe sy akan cari modal tuk belikan sangkar besar tuk paklubis and makanan cat ni... rumah saya maybe boleh jage bpe ekor je... 2 je kowt...

maybe we nk kne wat satu ruangan tuk adopt cat2 ni{shy}.. sape nk adopt kene isi form n wat tempahan awal.. xnk berebut{sick}...hehehe.. besar cita2 ku ini.. minx2 menjadi la...{grin}

salam ..semalam saya pergi dbkl..tanya pak guard kat situ..after 7days dorg akan PTS( put to sleep)..sangat-sangat kesian..kalau tengok kucing-kucing tu..memang cantik-cantik.

ada yang medium hair..macam ragdoll..semua tu byr rm15 je.. harap2 ada yg sudi amik kucing2 tu..memg kesian tengok dorg..

6/03/2011 hari tu nabila ade pegi dbkl untuk spay kucing.. sementare nak tunggu tu nabila masuk la tempat kurungan tu, ade banyak sangat kucing & ade 1 kucing orange tu macam dlh, pakai collar. Lepas tu ade banyak sangat anak kucing baru lahir. ade 2 ibu kucing yang tengah susu kan anak kat situ.

Lepas tu ade anjing comel sangat kat situ!

Tapi ape la nasib diorang sekarang ni kan..

Salam Nabila,

Akk pun pergi SPCA tapi on Saturday pula.
A'ah memang banyak ibu kucing tengah menyusu anak dia.
Masa akk dan lola selamatkan dua ekor kucing, seekor dari nya baru melahirkan anak dia. Masih basah lagi.
Yang oren gemuk tu ek? Yang pakai collar biru kan?
Tu kucing biasa je Nabila tapi memang gemuk giler.
Akk ada tanya pegawai tu tangkap kat mana dia kata orang complain kat kawasan flat jadi mereka g tangkap.
Semua tu kucing bertuan la.
Jadi saper saper yang ada kucing tu, tolong la kurungkan dalam rumah, jangan biarkan anak bulus kamu berjalan jalan.
Silap haribulan nanti kena tangkap then kena PTS pula {cry}

Owh tersilap pulak, tapi ade nabila perasan 1 kucing macam dlh. bila tgk kucing oren tu tak habis habis fikir tuan dia mesti sedih kucing dia tak balik rumah. Anjing-anjing dan kucing kucing kat kawasan rumah nabila sume da takde,kena tangkap agaknye. Nasib baik la kucing nabila sume da duduk dalam rumah.

Memang ada DLH kat situ.
Seekor warna hitam tengah menyusu anak dia, seekor warna tabby mackeral.
Tapi mereka nampak comot sekali.
Kalo di ambil dan di mandikan pasti akan cantik {good}

I'm planning to go to DBKL this Friday dengan my cousin, tapi I je yang adopt cat. Tapi maybe I pun mampu ambil satu je. Gaji takbesar mana. Agakagak kat sana ada tak yang spesis Bengal? Coz I minat sangat dengan spesis no, kalau nak beli memang sebulan tu takpayah makan la jawabnya. {scared}

If Im not mistaken.. dekat setapak.... I pon nk adopt.. but for now, i tgh tgu duit gaji.. nak beli cage 3 tiers... so sng... bila ade mase je i akan adopt.. n akan open for adoption.... kat sane.. kalau x salah... ade clinic.. so raseye boleh dapat murah... jadi bila da adopt sekor.. boleh trus g vaccined ke.. ubat kurap ke... ape2 je la.. tapi jima sket la {shy}{grin}{grin}{grin}

Doodlez89: Taksure la pula yang mana satu Kak Nurul cakapkan sebab bila I browse kat internet, ada dua tempat lindungan haiwan. Satu dekat Setapak and the other one is at Selayang. As for spaying or neutering ur cat, cuba tanya Kak Nurul sebab I da check yang dekat internet, for spaying they charge RM60-RM70 and for neutering, RM80-100. In another thread, Kak Nurul kata dia bole deal untuk dapatkan spaying and neutering service yang way cheaper than DBKL or SPCA offer. Sebab orang macam I yang baru nak mula keja ni mungkin sesak la kalau nak bayar sampai berpuluh ringgit untuk spay @ neuter my future baby kan. {shy}

Tempat yang akk maksudkan tu ialah SPCA Setapak.
Sebenarnya bukan kat SPCA Setapak je yang ada kucing dan anjing lawa lawa untuk adoption. Kat SPCA Ampang, PAWS pun ada.

As for spaying and neutering, memang betul saya boleh dapatkan harga murah sebab dah deal ngan Manager SPCA. For DLH cats spaying and neutering at special price of male RM40 and female RM60 normal is male RM60 above and female RM80 above. For DSH you can send under 'SNIP Program' where male RM25.00 and female RM35.00. Dah banyak member PF register ngan akk dan Ramzee {happy}. Last week total of 8 cats were sent {good} This week insyaallah ada lagi.

So what are you waiting for? Jom SPAY!

Thanks for the info Kak Nurul. Tu yang I da book my cousin for the whole day untuk meronda semua SPCA yang berdekatan untuk survey. {grin}
Tapi seriously ke adoption fee is only RM15? I pun actually just nak adopt DSH je sebab takberapa nak minat DLH. And regarding nak spay/neuter tu, should I give u a call first or something before sending my kushing?{shy}

Most welcome Roakyle,

Kalo kat SPCA Setapak memang RM15 per cat and RM150 per dog. For SPCA Ampang Jaya price is as follows :

DLH / Special breeds - RM250 to RM300 (including vacination and neutering)
DSH - RM80 to RM100 (including vacination and neutering)
Dogs special breed - RM300 and above (vacination and neutering)
Normal breed - RM150 to RM200 (vacination and neutering)

If you are interested to adopt DSH or DSMH cats, I have one little tabby kitten and one Domestic Medium Long Hair Siamese for adoption. Just let me know if you are interested.

As for neutering, yes you need to do the booking with me. For normal neutering you need to inform me 3 days in advance and for Snip program you need to register with me at least one week in advance as we need to submit the forms to SPCA for approval.

As for ur cats for adoption, thanks for the offer but I have to pass on them. No offense, I adore them but still I have a hidden agenda for not adopting them. As I was informed the cat in the place will be put to sleep after one week if no one comes to adopt it {cry}, so I thought it might be better if I go there and adopt a cat there instead. At least I could save one more life. And mengikut pandangan Kak Nurul, which one is more berbaloi?

1) @ SPCA Setapak and pay for RM15 and another RM25 @ RM35 for the SNIP programme**

2) @ SPCA Ampang and pay for RM80-RM100 for a cat fully spayed / neutered + vaccinated

** If I'm to take this one, agaknya berapa pula I have to pay untuk vaccinate my meowmeow?

Actually the DMH siamese is a cat that I rescued from DBKL setapak. Once she has weaned her babies, I will put her up for adoption. As for the tabby kitten, it was found by someone and currently I am fostering the kitten for them.

I would think the package would be better but I am not sure if the vacination is only one time of twice.

If you are taking package one :-

Cat RM15.00 + Vacination RM25.00 x 3(Klinik Yuan) + Snip RM25.00 = RM115.00 it would be cheaper to adopt under the package 2.

But if package 2 only covers for one time vacination then package 1 would be cheaper.

As for the packages, I need to know something. Must vaccination be done every month? Or is the 3 time for the whole life of my meowmeow?

Yes, you are right Roakyle.
That is what me and CikLola and many more is trying to do.
But our biggest challenge is where to put these poor cats while waiting for adoption? {sweat}
We are having space constraints and not to mention expenditure constraints as well {cry}

As for the vacination, different Vets have different procedures.
Based on my findings with Dr. Teoh of Klinik Teoh @ Pandan Indah, he does according to age.... e.g. if the cat is aged at 2 months then vacination will be 3 x on a monthly basis. However, if the cat if aged 3 months or more, Dr. Teoh will only vacine 2 times.

But for Dr. Yuan @ Klinik Yuan (who has the cheapest vacination rate) he does it 3x irrespective of the cats age.

Whilst Cheras Vetinary does it for twice at RM35 per jab.

Vacinations are done only the first 3 months and thereafter followed by a yearly booster. For information, 100% indoor cat will only need to go for booster once in every two years whilst a cat who is 50% indoor and 50% outdoor will need to go for booster every year.

How come they can have different procedures at different clinic? Still, I think I prefer Dr Yuan (not because he has the cheapestt vaccination rate, but because he vaccinates more!{shy}). So would u mind telling me the charge for the vaccination? And how much does it cost for a year booster?

Wish I could answer you too Roakyle but I am also stumped as to why different clinics have different procedures {sick}

Klinik Yuan charges RM25.00 per vacination and RM5 for deworming.
The price for booster is also RM25.00 per jab per year.

Kak Nurul thanks a lot! Uve been much of a help for these past few days. I'm so eager about tomorrow. Taksabar rasanya nak selamatkan satu kucing. Kak Nurul and everyone, wish me the best of luck that I will find a queen that have great chemistry with me.
p.s. Kak Nurul, kalau I nak hantar my meowmeow for spaying esok juga, I kena charge lebih ke? Ke I just need to mention ur name to get the RM25 for vaccination? And once again, I need ur help. Where is the location for Dr Yuan?

Please approach Mr. Krishan and tell him that you are my friend. Mention Phyllis as he knows me as Phyllis and not Nurul. Hopefully he can help you to release the cat that you want. Any problems please call me at 012 611 3258.

For spaying under SNIP you will need to register at least one week before as we need to get approval. So definitely you cant do it tomorrow. Also I would suggest to you not to stress the cat and do the spaying immediately. Bring it home first and get to know each other. After both of you have been acquainted only then bring her in for spaying ya. We do not want to stress the cat.

As for vacination at Klinik Yuan, the clinic is located on the same row as Steven's corner in Pandan Indah. I will be bringing a few cats for vacination tomorrow. Time not sure yet. Hope to meet you there.

For your information, Klinik Yuan closes at around 3 pm or 5 pm depending on the traffic flow.

I will be there maybe around mid morning.

As for the SNIP program, usually we will go on a Saturday since its not a working day. Just give me your cats name, age and gender and I will register for you. Also please inform the day that you wish to go.

Cik Nurul, can I get a slot in the SNIP program. The cat's name is "Rado", Male, probably 7 months old....vaccinated twice, the third time when he is suppose to be vaccinated, he went missing {sick}.

If Rado can join in the SNIP program, Saturday is great. And it is even greater if it is this Saturday (9/4/11).

But before you register, can I know what breed is Rado?
If he is a Domestic Shorthair then he is entitled for the 'SNIP' program.
And it so happens that we have 1 vacancy left over from last week as the person did not turn up.
If you want you can go this Saturday.
