Hi Bonny,
I'm Rowen and I'm a dog lover. I'm really interested in adopting the golden retriever.

Just to answer your questions:
1) Name: Rowen Tan
2) Contact: [Admin: Email Removed] (I'll e-mail you my phone num when u e-mail me back)
3) Area: Bukit Mertajam, Penang
4) Food that i will give: BilJac+Milk and HiVite Vitamin Supplement daily

Please look at photos of the Maltese that I've rescued previously.
Look at it's before and after picture. (Before picture is taken 1 month after rescue as before that it is very thin and has skin disease. Hope you would understand my reason for not taking photos of him during the day he was rescued).

Refer to the site below:

[Ezer's Note: Rowen, I removed your email from your post because web bots can spider it and then spam you. Try not to post emails online or you'll get 1000s of spams / day]

I think this is a lost dog as she looks so healthy and still so young. Quite impossible to be abandoned. Try to walk around your neighbourhood and look for poster or make an announcement in petfinder lost and found section.

Hi Bonny,
Yes I've just joined this forum based on my friend's recommendation (Mr Loke who is an animal lover too and he is nuts about dogs). He told me that you have a Golden Retriever up for adoption.

I'm very eager to adopt this dog because I love dogs so much and I can't see the sight of dogs being abused or abandoned by their owner. Unlike a few dogs that i've rescued, they are underfed, has disease and scars all over their body showing that they are abused by previous owner.

It is lucky that this dog was not abused and well taken care of. I agree that this dog might have escaped from her owner's home but on the other hand, like what you've said the dog doesn't even have a tag on and the owner is quite careless till the dog escapes from it's home.

I really hope that you can put some thoughts and consideration in this adoption. Thank you.

Would you have adopted the dog if it's a mongrel, rowen? Furthermore dog is my buddy rehoming an unspyed dog invites trouble sometimes.. Dog has no tag does dog has chip? Have you scanned for it? Also it's not hard to identify the owner if the real one comes along. See the dog's reaction.

For you info acsyen, I have kept mongrels before and I will continue to keep it if one comes along. I grew up with dogs in my house as my parent too loves dog very much. But at the current moment, I'm not running puppy a mill and I only have budget for 1 more dog at home. So, is there anything wrong for wanting a dog that i've always wanted to own?

I agree with you that dog has no tag but it has chip. So it should be scanned to determine the owner. But for the case of "dog is my buddy" rehoming an unspayed dog, it is not his/her fault as she/he has no intention of keeping it and giving it away. The person who adopts it should spay it instead.

That's just my 1 cent worth of opinion.

I think the easiest way is to get the potential adopter to pay for the spaying/neutering of such animals to prevent unwanted situations. Dog is my buddy... perhaps if you can inform potential adopters of them having to pay for the surgery.

If they are sincerely interested in adopting the dog and NOT making money out of it. That shouldn't be a problem.
