Apa penyakit kucing ni yer?
Dia muntah2 kuning start petang jumaat sampai sekarang.. kadang2 kucing tu jelir2 lidah dan taknak tutup mulut, pastu sampai dia gigit lidah dia...

sbb pk esok baru nak bawak pegi vet..{sick}

dia dah x bermaya sgt sbb xmkn dan x minum. td dah bwk gi klinik, kena injection ..masuk air (sbb dehydrate ),bg ubat tahan muntah pastu dpt supply ubat2. tp tatao laa ape penyakit dia. doktor pun x ckp.yg pasti dok tu ckp kucing tu ade sakit mulut..
harap2 dia ok lah. so far masih x bermaya lagi..minum pun kena paksa guna stringe.{sick}

thanks nik, ekceli bukan kucing me pun.. tp kucing member me.tp kalo kucing dia ade masalah/sakit..mesti dia mintak tolong me. mcm lah kita nih doktor haiwan..huhuhu. so kita tlg hantor gi klinik jerk..

Dear Lyn, why not go for a 3rd opinion? (Since u're the 1st vet..hehe..), Sounds serious tu sebab muntah sampai dehydrated... Pakcu quite doubtful sebab kalau sakit mulut pun tak kan muntah, kalau tak makan logikla sebab mulut sakit nak makan, muntah selalunya disebabkan oleh stomach problem or internal organ problems. Hopefully... nothing serious and good luck k.

erkk 3d opinion tu yg mana 1 pakcu..?uhuhu(blur nih)..lin rasa bukan sbb dia sakit mulut yg sbbkan dia muntah.. tp maybe sbb byk sgt muntah sampai isi perut pun dah takde, then x mkn dan x minum..so sbb tu mulut dia sakit.. tp still courios ape yg sbbkan dia muntah2 tu..

dahla aritu kucing dia yg 1 lg terpaksa buat operation sbb jangkitan serviks.. nih 1 lg plak buat hal.. citer yg kucing lagi 1 plak camnih...

2 minggu lepas, kucing dia keluar cecair mcm campur darah sket..meinitik2 kat umah dia..masa tu mlm plak tu..so takut nya pasal,dia bwk pegi AMC kat sentul tu.. doktor tu pegang2 perut dia suspect ngandung early stage lah.. tp takleh nak scan sbb dah mlm,so dia suh bwk esok pagi. mlm tu jer dah kena charge rm90.
pagi esok, dia mintak tolong lin bwk gi klinik ceras. sampai sana pun..org klinik tu just pegang2 pun kata suspect ngandung gak..tp takleh nak buat ape gak sbb doktor pakar takde..dia suh bwk gi upm.
so, bwk gi upm pulak, doktor tu pegang2 pun suspect ngandung tp dia kata bukan early stage lagi..sbb dia kata mcm dah besar. tp dia syorkan buang baby tu sbb takut dia kata dah kena jangkitan..tak pasti baby dlm perut boleh survive atau takut effect kat mak dia. tp solution pertama dok nak buat ultra sound dan xray.
bila buat ultra sound, doktor kata takde dgr bunyik denyut jantung baby pun..so, maybe baby dah mati atau masih peringkat awal.. pastu pegi xray plak.bila dah xray pun takde tanda2 baby pun sbb dok kata kalo ade baby,mesti dah nampak struktur tulang dlm xray tu.. yang dia nampak cuma kantung tu penuh cecair..dan cecair tu bukan nye darah shj. tp darah campo nanah. dia kata tiub dan rahim dah penuh dgn nanah, so takleh buat ape dah kecuali operate buang rahim tu...kiranye mandulkan terus lah..
disbbkan kucing tu mmg dari mlm tu pun dah takde selera mkn, so dia dikira puasa dan terus masuk wad aritu jugak.. so, kena tahan 2 hari 2 mlm.. dan kena mkn ubar antibiotik sbb dok kata, valva tu still aktif lagi.. so kena mkn obat ...
total kos semua rm3++ .
sbb musabab yg jd camtu, dok kata maybe jd masa kucing tu tgh on heat, pintu servik tu terbukak..masa tulah bakteria tu masuk.. tuan kucing tu kata masa ari raya tu 2 hari kucing tu hilang pegi menggatal. so rasanya ade kucing jantan yg kat luar tu yg pembawa kuman tu...
yang pasti, sebenarnya kucing tu tak pegnan pun...tp kantung dia kiri dan kanan dah penuh ngan cecair tu sampai bila dok pegang rasa ketulan mcm ade baby...

hurmmm...mcm2 penyakit yerk....{scared}

Tu la Pakcu cakap, bukan sakit mulut tu sebab dia muntah. Probably internal organ failures or stomach problems. Pergila klinik lain lak, dptkan 2nd opinion. Bimbang sebab dehydrates, immunity dia pun lemah tak leh lawan penyakit tu.

keekekke.. lyn kena ikut ckp tuan kucing tu.. itupun dia dah mengeluh sbb tgh takde duit skang. nak bwk klinik lain takut mahal plak... tgk dulu lah perkembangan kucing tu camne utk sehari dua nih lepas mkn obat yg vet tu bg.. kalo sama jer or makin teruk..so kena pegi for 3rd opinion lah...huhuhuhu

Sometimes, we are all limited by "resources"....

BTW, Kucing tu dah mula makan tak?? If yes, then it is positive sign....

yes, i'm also like sillylupie , how's the cat now? sounds horrible for the cat and more worry for the owner.

so sekarang tengah makan ubat dulu sebelum consider other options? i'm worried to read your description that the cat bite its own tongue.

hopefully your friend is able to help his cat get good medical attention.

i know i'm on the bandwagon again but i can't help but point out, hopefully a soft reminder, that is indeed a painful lesson to your friend and his cat on the benefit of spaying/neutering for the cat.

getting pregnant is one of the cons of not neutering - but getting other transmitted diseases or bacteria that cause sickness/illness is another good reason - one that is often not seen and "silent" since only the affected cat and owner will know of this when it happened and the rest of us will go on happily thinking - it own't happen to me or my cat until...

let's hope this is also a lessons to other cat owners to neuter / spay their cat.

SPCA has a good write-up on neutering / spaying the benefits.

enough said then - i'm sure all can think for themselves. otherwise i'm considered long winded again

hi ashley, bina, thanks for ur concern.
for this momment, the cat still force to eat wetfood.but looks has improvment compare before. his face looks ok and not weak as before. but the owner still not satisfied..she still want send that cat to others vet(3rd opinion like pakcu said).. before this my fren send to klinik haiwan cheras.she said...why that klinik not really check her cat likes test blood or sumthing like that to know the exactly reason. she said the the doc assistance juz see, and giv 'ubat tahan muntah' and others medicine..vitamin i think.

so, my fren decide will send her cat to other vet probably this week.

hmmm...blackie oso face same problem? so what blackie vet said..? i'm not sure whut the owner feed to their cat.but all her cat are indoor and think her cat juz eat whiskas or firskies..sumthing like that lar.. she dont want to find other brand food like b/wood or RC or other premium food coz she said no money...heheheeh

No, it's not another Blackie case. In Blackie's case, he vomitted food early in the morning, after his breakfast. This has happened before particularly after he jumps & runs around immediately after eating. But in the evening, he vomitted a second time, this time just a pale yellow colour. So that was why I got really worried and started googling for "help" on the internet.

I read that if the cat is active and playful, it should be ok. So, I played with him immediately to see if he's active, and he was very active and eager to play. And he hasn't vomitted since. So, it's different from Lyn's friend's cat.

I attributed Blackie's second vomit to the fact that he didn't eat his lunch or dinner that day. I had changed his plastic food bowl to a stainless steel bowl and he was afraid of his own reflection in the bowl. But finally, at 10-ish that same night, he started to accept that the cat in the bowl is not going to bite his head off, and began eating normally. Phew!

Lyn, is your friend's cat still vomitting? It's NOT normal for a cat to keep vomitting. {sweat}

i'd ask my fren this morning,she said her cat(kecik) are stop from vommit..but need to keep give kecik medicine that vet supply..(ubat tahan muntah).
kecik oso start to eat vet food..start poo..after 3 days with no poo...hhuhuhu

Glad to hear that.. Dia ader jumpa vet lain ker? Tanya tak vet tu side effect of ubat tahan muntah tu..
vet food ke wet food? kadang2 kucing cirit kalau makan wet food, so tgk2 kan najis dier k. Kalau banyak kali sangat cirit nanti dehydrate lak.. kes lain jadinyer. Cuba2 gaulkan dgn kibbles.
Ni yg Pakcu buat k, nak lg clear nantila sifu2 yg lebih berpengalaman akan bantu. Jgn ikut lagi k. Pakcu takut tersalah advise..
