Cat's fur darkens?

http://www.petfinder.my/pets/2219/

I just realized that the last 2 pictures of Belle is different. Her face marking looks much more darker than the older picture. In fact, I just noticed how 'black' Belle's face is now. {sweat}

I suddenly recalled a certain something regarding how to maintain a Siamese's seal point (or marking or shade, whatever the term is). It's something like, if the temperature is too low, it darkens. Not really sure.

Also, I noticed that Elvee's fur is also darkening.

I'm sure it's nothing to be worried about but it seems kinda interesting to observe the changes throughout the old pictures to the recent ones. {happy}

Does this happen to your cat too when you keep them in air-conditioned rooms?

As for picture you can't tell 100% why coz depend on the apereture and also places and background and lighting... So unless you looking at the real cat...

Oh. So it's because of their age.. I though it was because of the temperature. {ohmygod}

temperature also can affect the color shade of a color point especially siamese type. An outdoor siamese tend to be lighter color than indoor in hot country compare to the western where it warmer indoor that outdoor. Basically, as they age, the color change but you can slower the rate of change by keeping them warm but yet it is not 100% possible as their gene react to the surrounding e.g. when they drink water, the face cool down, so is when they walk on cold floor, the thin ear would be cold due to cold air.
