hairball problem : any home remedy that can cure this?
 

Hi All,

my kids are having some hairball problems at the moment and would like to know if there is any home remedy that i could use to cure it before taking them to the vet. they had coughed out the cylindrical-like hairball and i've stopped brushing them to avoid any hairfall.

I've googled and some websites suggested to feed them 1/2 teaspoon of butter or shift them to another place because it would probably due to stress etc. But would also like to learn from PF's forumer who had experienced curing it before.

Hi!! Sarah,I use Laxatone.cost me only RM18. When I feed them with Laxatone,hairballs comes out together with their poo. Place small amount of Laxatone on their tongue and wait until they poo.

laxatone yah? kena seek more info about ni. have you tried feeding them with butter before?

other than risau for the cats, messy la their house. i think few of them yang vomited sebab nampak ada few hairballs at different places. thanks for the tips june!{good}

Feeding dgn butter tak pernah.Laxatone blh dpt kat vet. cats vommited hairball mmg common.terutama yg long hair lg lah messy.mine suma short hair pun dah cukup sepah. {ohmygod}

Home remedy resepi.
Unsweeten canned pumpkin atau labu kuning rebus campur dengan minyak zaitun. Hancur labu ngan minyak zaitun. Feed bersama wetfood. Amalkan selalu dan monitor poo kucing. Cuba buang dalam toilet. Poo yang ada hairball biasanya ringan dan timbul.

Petua lain, campur sedikit pysilium husk dalam wetfood. Tambah sikit air dan gaul betul2. Pysilium husk akan kembang dan serap air, pastikan wetfood tak jadi terlalu liat. Pysilium husk leh didapati di supermarket kat rack bijirin. Jangan bagi pysilium dalam bentuk kering sebab kadar serapan airnya kuat dan leh menyebabkan tercekik kalau melekat pada tekak.

okay, itu macam senang nak dapat from my house. macam utk menguruskan badan pulak guna pysilium husk {shy} thanks again bareen.probably i can try that tonight.

ituler pasal. nanti sama sama plak pinggang macam kerengge, cewah! tapi i macam interested nak buat labu kuning punye resepi la. alang2 dah buat labu pengubat hairball, i bole buat puding labu sekali..yum yum!

Kalau tak nak makan labu ngan wetfood ko bagi jer lah pudding labu tu kat kucing ko. Pandai-pandailah ko modified resepi pudding supaya dapat share ngan kucing...

hahahahhaha eeehhh tak kuasaa nak share puding dgn dieorg tuh. nanti, dengan i-i skali keluar hairball plak dekat stool {grin}

Apalah salahnya, kalau dah kongsi idup ngan kucing nih, bulu-bulu memang ler takleh nak dielakkan. Tak byk, sikit tuh memang ada gak yang masuk perut kita.
