hi!!

i buy all my pet supplies from Pets People. They don't breed, sell, or buy any animals. Also they stock some hard-to-find brands of premium food like Acana and Orijen. They also sell natural, non-toxic cat litter like "world's best cat litter".

I can recommend Pet Epicure, in Taman Melawati. You may have seen Alicia's postings here on Petfinder, as she also rescues and re-homes (but does not sell!) cats.

For me, I support Home Pet Food & Care in Sri Petaling.

They do NOT sell pets in their premises. The owner, Jimmy, a.k.a. Coony, might be a Maine Coon breeder, but he is a VERY RESPONSIBLE and SELECTIVE breeder, and does not sell his cats to anyone he does not know or feel comfortable with.

But, most of all, he rescues and supports abandoned cats and picks up strays in his area. In other words, his profits goes towards feeding these rescue cats, and giving them the best care & attention he can until permanent, loving homes are found for them. And he is equally as selective when it comes to giving away these rescue cats.

Totally agree with the NO livestock for sale thingy. Whenever Olivia brings the Raggies to the shop for thier bath, we're always swamped with questions. And sometimes, the questions are the ones you hate to hear. Example, "I want to buy your cat as a husband/wife for my cat. Can ah?" Sigh.

I'm new here and just stumbled onto this post. Though i would add on Diva Pets in Putra Heights where you will never find a single puppy or kitten for sale (you will probably bump into a couple of furkids running around occasional but they are most definitely NOT for sale being my own/my business partners furry ones{wink}).

not forgetting uncle chin and chan pet shop aka pets plaza @ ttdi, next to KFC (sorry not familiar with full address)..no selling cats only goods and products...ya there are cats at the back only for boarding and few rescued ones which he will give way for free and healthy too...{happy}

yeah pets plaza is great!! i forgot about that store.. havne't been there for a long time.. they sell a very wide range of products and at reasonable prices. no huge mark-ups.

their rescued cats are gorgeous and fat. they look fantastic and a lot of people who see them can't believe that they are local breed.

I nootice there is 1 pet shp at Sri Hartamas not only selling pet ptoducts & food, but oso rescuing / fostering pets, u'll b surprise, there r all pedigree.

They will let sum of their regular client foster those dogs temporary ( ONLY clients dat they know personally, ) while waiting for adoption., or u may juz visit those dogs there.

But, I forgot the name of d pet shp, if sumone interested, I will try 2 find out fr a fren.
