If this your dog, please come and claim him. I cannot keep him for very long. He has an MPSJ collar dated 2008. Has corkscrew fur, is badly malnourished and long claws. I think he's been a runaway for quite some time. Shows slight aggression.

I don't know of anyone who will take him in. Might have to ask MPSJ to come claim him tomorrow.

If anyone recognizes this dog, or knows the owner pls let me knw ASAP. Call 016 998 6660.

Turns out the owner lives right in my neighbourhood (the row behind my house). She walked pass the house as I was coming back from running some errands (left food and water for the dog and kept it within my compound so that it wouldn't wander away and get lost).

So she walks by and goes "X'cuse me, can I have my dog back please?"... Apparently, she had been wandering all over the neighbourhood for the past 6 hours looking for her 'Li Chew' (dog's name).

Was a bit hesitant to give the dog away. It didn't look like it was in good condition. The long nails and the scrawny frame (could feel her bones beneath her fur) made me think that might be an animal abuse case.

Do you think it was the right thing to do? The owner did say the dog had been ill for quite some time but i get that nagging feeling that something isn't quite right...

Then, the dog hardly escaped frm its nightmare u put it back again.??!! (kidding)
Maybe that could be the reason for dog itself running away from the terrible owner??? I don't knw, just proposed, maybe the dog thought of " I wanna run away and get rid of my owner "{sweat}.

Maybe you can pretend to have a walk around your area and do some undercover investigation? hehe..

Hm... I should huh? Actually around my place there are a few animal abuse scenarios.

Scenario 1:
Behind my house lives this 'crazy cat lady'. She keeps quite a few cats locked up in small enclosures for hours on end. There use to be at least 4/5 cats caged up in next to kitchen at the back of her house. Every night you could hear the cats yowling (or i assume mating with one another). It's quite irritating actually as it's situated right next to my bedroom. I think someone reported about her and now there are only 2 cats at any given time. She fenced up the place as to restrict acess to stray cats which use to sneak into the back and cause a ruckus with the caged cats.

Scenario 2:
There is this house down the road which I drive past on the way to work. I always see this dog locked up in a cage which I presume is a guard dog since it's situated right near the fence. The thing is that on sunny days, the dog doesn't really have a proper shade from the sun. So it has to bear the heat, with only a bowl of water? for relief....


OMG, now that I bring this up I feel terrible. How do you advise on reporting such cases. I don't really know anyone in the neighbourhood as I just moved in only a while ago. But it really breaks my heart to see these animals suffering so much.{scared}

some pet owners i dont know why they want to keep pets when they dont want to be responsible..
some i see keep dogs..all the time chain them..poor thing...

pet owner if you are not ready - dont keep .... some keep for the sake of keeping....
