Tumbesaran Kucing Terbantut
Hi Seniors, Kawan2, forumers, readers...
Last weekend saya mandikan kucing-kucing client saya. So seperti biasa selepas selesai memandikan, saya akan bg tau keadaan dan masalah pada kucing-kucing dia kalau ada.. kali ni, my client bg saya satu soalan: Kenapa kucing2 dia nampak macam tak membesar(bukan semua)?.. yang saya boleh jawab.. mungkin environment tempat tinggal kucing tu, sbb yang saya tau mereka mmg bg makanan premium kat kucing mereka.. so, mungkin kita boleh share kat sini, sape2 yg ada pengalaman kucing2 yg tidak membesar... Pengalaman saya, saya ada dua ekor anak kucing yg menghidap sakit kulit yang sangat teruk. seko tu sampai togal habis bulu badan so saya namakan dia SPINK.. sbb dah jadi mcm spinx time dia kecik2.. Dua ekor ni kene fungus yg teruk time baby lg, sbb mak diorang ada jangkitan fungus time mengandung dan melahirkan... so disebabkan masih baby, sy tak berani nak letak ubat mcm2/banyak2.. takut ada side effect... so, sudahnye terpaksa laa cagekan mereka berdua selama beberapa bulan.. alhamdulillah, sekarang fungus dah takde and bulu dah mula tumbuh.. so last 2 weeks sy lepaskan mereka dari cage. mmg nampak perbezaan antara yg dua ni dengan kucing2 lain yg tak di cagekan... diorang nampak tak berapa membesar.. tp selepas dilepaskan.. tumbesaran diorang nampak cepat.. skrg dah gemok sket and lebih besar... so, tu yg sy bg tau kat my client tu, mungkin environment or tempat tinggal kucing2 dia tak cukup besar, menyebabkan ada yg terbantut tumbesarannya... so kawan2 lain ada tak pengalaman or cadangan macam mana nak selesaikan masalah tumbesaran kucing yang terbantut?... mungkin ada antara kita yg tak boleh nak lepaskan sangat kucing2 mereka atas sebab kawasan kediaman yang tak sesuai untuk melepaskan kucing2 berkeliaran?... {victory} |
Re: Tumbesaran Kucing Terbantut
Ramzi, I think those kittens probably had a lot of parasites in them which were depriving their growing bodies of the much needed nutrition for their growth from the food they were consuming ... you mentioned they had fungus for a very long time - and I think that is only the tip of the problem. I wonder why they were not systematically and methodically treated by the vet till healthy to prevent the stunted growth?
Then you mentioned that later the fungus problem cleared and the kittens achieved some body growth. Fleas carry worm infections. Worm infections besides robbing the kitten of their much needed nutrition obtained from food, also cause skin and fur problems. Parasites also make the kittens anemic. Body growth are affected by growth hormones and availability of good nutrition. Make sure you identify and get rid of the parasites. From my experience with stray kittens, after treating to get rid of parasites (including blood parasites) I notice not only did their bodies start growing very fast, they act very active, lively and playful instead of being laid back. Their eyes are very big, round, bright, clear and alert. |

Hi Furkids,
Thanks for your feedback. Yes for my kittens I did bring them to the vet and did as advised, so now they are ready for normal treatment. and you are right about the fungus and fleas. after it treated and almost cured, their growth is getting better. Now I still watching their progress before putting them up for adoption. :) Regarding my client cats, they actually aged 8 months and above. and previously they are healthy. But they seems not growing... I did realize that because I bath them almost once every month.. and everytime I bath them, their ears always black, I suspected earmites. so normally I advised them to bring those cats to vet for further treatment. and clean the cats place.. the thing is, not all of the cats having problems... thats make me thinking how to help them to make sure those problematic cats can be healthy as well... |
