My cat has crusty stuff on her skin at her base tail.

She has like almost a rash and there's all these crusty buildups on her skin at the base of her tail. Her skin there is like all red and dotty, and there's flakes or dandruff on it. I'm getting worried if it might be a parasite. Or something more serious. My mom making me wait till monday to bring her to the vet. I've already treated her for lice, so could it an allergic reaction to the lice. Anyone ever had this with their cats? Anything i could do to help b4 going to the vet? I'll try to post a pic of it if i can.

Hi Sphinxlover,

Sounds like your cat has mange {sick}
There is nothing much you can do except for temporary measures, spray frontline on it. It will stop the itching and the crustlike thingy will fall off.
You still need to bring it to the vet where the vet will give it a jap.
Dr. Teoh charges RM10.00 for mange jap {good}
