Re: how to train walk on leash

Hello Kavian,

It is almost impossible to learn dog training via online forums. Much as I'd like to help, I won't do it. I need to see you and your pup in person to do anything meaningful.

Re: Dog School in Kuantan

Hi Priesha,

I believe you have posted this earlier with minimal response. If appropriate, I'd like to ask a few questions to get some interest in KARE's work.

Re: Info bout Rottweiler & Dobermann

Hi Monkee94,

I can understand where the fosterer is coming from. If your dad is keen, he needs to convince fosterer he has the ability. As they say, nothing comes free. You don't seem sure that...

Re: Info bout Rottweiler & Dobermann

Hi Monkee94,

The traits you listed - dominating / hard-headed / aggressive, and hence hard to control - can manifest itself in any dogs. In other words, ALL DOGS of any breed type might behave...

Dog breeding - why we do it?

My point of this post is not to scold nor belittle anyone but to raise the awareness of living and working with dogs - an animal that has been with us for over 10,000 years. It is discouraging that...

Re: Please Help My Schnauzer having some skin problem..

What kind of schnauzer - mini, std, or giant?

I'm assuming it's a mini - most common here - list of known diseases, see: http://www.simplyschnauzer.net/padgettlist.html

Best advice given above,...

Re: Urgent! Help my dog to change its bad behaviours

Appreciated.

We can only try and hope for the best. But I think your expertise in one-to-one is more helpful and valuable 'cos it's difficult to explain the steps/activities to reform the...

Re: Urgent! Help my dog to change its bad behaviours

Ferreted's quote of how to play retrieval game and when to stop engaging the ball can also be useful. It teaches the maintain focus on you when playing/retrieving. Ultimately, Jennes has to decide if...

Re: Urgent! Help my dog to change its bad behaviours

Hi Jennes,

I think I'm not useful because I'm not there to show it to you nor can I actually evaluate your dog. So, you must still try to seek a behaviorist - there's one on this board by the name...

Happy Girl,

Didn't figure you for a cynic! Actually, I thought so too.

Re: Scared little Golden Retriever

Hi Goldiel,

If you have a 3 month old Golden Retriever, 4 days is not enough time for him/her to adjust to new environment.

Before I go further, the most important point is to realise that dog...

Re: Dog Food

Hi Vivien

I don't see how nutrition is separate from "food for dogs". In fact, nutrients is what dogs need, food is just the instrument/vehicle to transport the specific nutrients into the dogs...

I joined this forum a few months back and realise there's a distinct lack of understanding about dogs in this forum and probably a large part of the population in Malaysia.

Yet, everyone posts all...

Perhaps you would like to rephrase your questions. So far, I get that you are asking about dog nutrition. That's about all I understood from your posts.

Re: Can Newborn Puppies Instant Milk Formula Replace wit Newborn Baby Milk?

Here's what I would do in your circumstance:

1) Get the pup to a vet if its an open wound. It does not have to be much before infection sets in. Follow advise of vet.

2) Try not...

From Maneki Neko's post, she clearly had a positive experience with SPCA Selangor. Then again, she seem to be a 'cat-person', whereas my experiences relate directly to the dogs at the shelter.

I...

Never. You will regret it and I absolutely guarantee you that.

Why? He is not socialised yet. He needs to be...
