Personally my reaction when saw those pictures," So, whats the issue?". There will be actual issue if the picture shows that she eating a pork (sorry if offence).
I do agreed with the contents of the article.
The summary of that articles,
1) no harm to touch Dog and Pig, as long as u know how to menyucikan, that shud not be a problem.
2) Never treat Dog or Pig (or any Najis Mughallazah creatures) violently or even look down on them.
In fact, I have seen in my vet premise (my vet is a muslim) that I normally go, he sells the soap aprroved by Jakim, which u can use to samak ur hand, or any part of the body. So it is easier nowadays.
