hi.. bru2 ni 1dec yg lalu sy travel balik sabah from kl with my cat.. prosedur dia lebih kurg sama ngn yg marcelleve ckp but ada yg sy nak buat pembetulan sikit.. sbnrnya, ada dua cara.. whether u travel along with your cat or using MAS Animal Cargo if ur cat is travelling alone. yg ni i share procedure utk travel WITH your cat.

1. book ur ticket with MAS. ni xkisah whether melalui office or online. xpayah inform MAS yg u bawak kucing pun xpe.

2. make sure your cat dah vaccine.

3.microchip your cat. buat lah kat mana2 JPhaiwan terdekat ngn u.. klu i hari tu buat kat JPhaiwan selangor kat shah alam. kat cheras pun ada satu JPHaiwan jugak..

4. apply import permit dr tmpt destination u, klu i dekat kota kinabalu lah.. so i apply permit import dari jphpt kota kinabalu... by this, u blh make sure whether u pnya destination tu is one of port of entry or not... and 1 permit blh pakai utk 2 ekor kucing

5. smntara tunggu import permit tu settle, u blh buat rabies injection for the cat dulu.

6. 3 hari before flight u (not later than 3 days sbb kalau kurg dr 3 hari, diorg xkan layan), datang balik ke JPHaiwan selangor tu utk dapatkan export permit along with health certificate. Permits ni valid for 1 month, health cert valid utk 7 HARI SAHAJA so u need to plan awal2 la coz if u sampai sarawak with invalid health cert, kucing u akan d kuarantin for 6 month instead of 1 month.

7. on the travel day, u just pegi counter check in, check in your cat as an extra luggage which dia kira rm15/kg (cat+carrier) . u pnya baggage allowance yg 20kg tu utk bag shaja, live animal kira as extra luggage. so even u xda check in bag pun, dia ttp kira live animal as rm15/kg. ok? tunjukkan smua dokumen yg kat atas ni.. pstu, dia akan bwk kucing u ke security utk lekat sticker2.. then the ground crew will take ur cat and masa ni u akan berpisah kejap la ngn ur cat..

8. sampai je kat destination, staff jphaiwan akan tunggu u kat luggage collection tu and u akan ikut diorg ke office utk settle dokumen2 yg lain.. make sure u buat 3-4 copies of documents kat atas utk mempercepatkan proses2 ni.. :)

9. cat u akan d bawak masuk ke kuarantin stesen for 1 month..

ok setel.. tu je.. :) klu ada apa2 yg u curious lg, tnya je ok :)

and kucing yg 1 month tu i rasa dia xfit utk travel coz kecik sangat lg.. vaccine mesti belum lg n rabies injection blh buat 3 months ke atas je.. sorry..
