I rmb when my hamsters had wet tail last time. I had 3 lovely hammies. when the 1st one had wet tail, I had lil experience and thot cirit-birit not that bad, plus i had test, so ingat nak bawa vet on weekend saja. but 2nd night, 1st hammy passed away. so so sad. I then brought my 2 hammies to vet, looked like sudah kena the wet tail. vet said they don't treat hamster. brought to 2nd vet, the vet say don't treat also. then i said, fine, i wanna buy medicine for them. vet say they don't import hamster medicine. his words. "ppl prefer to buy another hamster than to treat it coz the treatment is often more expensive. hamster is just rm20-rm40 each. just buy another one la" I was so angry  so you mean my hammy got sick i should just throw it in rubbish bin and buy another one?
In the end I was desperate, I bought ubat cirit birit kanak kanak and take suap them a small portion with yogurt(ppl say it helps). by that time, the 2nd hammy very tenat dy and didn't make it T__T. I didn't give up on the 3rd hamster and cont to make it it the medicine + cleaning its ciritbirit, coz poisonous if they jilat it themselves. don't treat sure die, so I just keep trying with the yogurt and kid medicine. in the end he made it!!!! but after that, it has a week body. it coughs and sneeze when it rains. tho very kesian, it looks cute sneezing =P so I fed it vitamins since.
so please let me know if you guys know any vets that treat small animals like hamsters. thanks alot =) |

for ur info ade vet yg treat gp & hammies kt malaysia ni..
kt damansara ade sorg doc..Dr.Jenny..she's very good in treating gp..i nvr go there..but many forumers i met online always do their gp check up at her clinic..so,maybe i'll go there one day to do annual check up of my gp..but i;m not sure bout hamster..
ur hammies sneeze?? just like mine..hehe..i brought het o klinik..and they give me antibiotic..liquid form to b added to his drink..but,anyway..the antibiotic doesnt work..he keep sneezing..but i guess he's getting ok with the sneeze..=)
btw,i'll check for u if i found any recommended clinic for ur hammies..ok?
