Home Pet Food & Care is
not a private shelter. It's a pet supply shop. Jimmy and Angela, the owners, do rescue stray cats, vaccinate/neuter them, and put them up for adoption, but they're already filled to capacity with the strays that they find themselves. They are not taking in cats that other people are looking to surrender. (They are, however, a super resource for those looking to adopt!)
PAWS and SPCA do take surrenders, but as you probably know, both are kill shelters, again because of the overwhelming numbers. :-(
I'm sorry, I don't know of any shelters nearer to you...
